Jessi did my makeup and hair. The makeup was a light look, but she made the eyes a little bit darker. She said it would highlight my eye color nicely. I just laughed and went with it. She did my hair in a braided crown. I guess she said it would look great with it. She added a little purple flower pin to my hair in the back where the braids on top of my head meet. She also added a few braids on the sides. It all did look great even when I put the dress and heels on. Then it was her turn. I helped with her hair a little, but she did the most as we added the jewelry, it was time to hurry to the tower.
"How did you get us invited to the party in the first place?" I asked as we pulled up to the tower.
She just laughed and got out when we got to the vault. I handed him my key and we walked to the doors. I started to get a little nervous as we got closer, and no one stopped us as we walked into the building. As we got closer Jessi finally was by my side and had her arm wrapped around one of mine.
"Here we go girly." She said as the double doors in front of us opened.
We walked through them and all I heard was music and people talking as my eyes finally got adjusted to the bright light. So much was happening. I saw there was a bar to one side and a dance floor to the other. Some tables and chairs were scattered everywhere yet it looked nice. Jessi was still escorting me. We were at the bottom of the stairs now.
"There are some people I want you to meet." She was way too happy to be around so many people. She dragged me to a table with 8 people around it. Shit, I don't want to meet people. I stop her by grabbing her arm.
"Jessi, you said nothing about meeting people," I stated with worried eyes.
"You will be fine. I was hoping you would join me here so I can introduce you to my boyfriend." She said, smiling so big it went to her eyes.
"When did that happen?" I ask as I let her lead me again.
She just laughed and kept walking. We were now near the table, and I stood there staring at the floor at my feet.
"Hey guys, this is Ashlee," she said pointing to me. I looked up and waved a little.
Everyone said hi to me except one I noticed. He was leaning back in his chair scowling at me it seemed.
"Ash, this is Sam Wilson, this is the boyfriend I told you about." She said as she took the chair near him.
"Nice to meet you Sam. She literally just told me about you. I do hope you know about me though." I said, smiling at him and her. She did seem to light up when she got around him. Even more than normal.
"Yes she told me a lot about you, Ashlee, it's finally great to put a name with a face." He said as he stuck his hand out for me to shake.
I did and he went to hold Jessi's hand. I smiled at her.
She smiled back at me "So do you want me to tell her who you guys are, or do you want to do it?" She asked the people around the table.
"Well, I'm Tony, I do hope you know that name at least." He seemed like a cocky man.
I nodded at him.
"Natasha." a female with short red hair said she looked nice-ish.
I nodded again.
"This is taking forever. Clint" she pointed to a man with really short hair. "Steve" that man had short blonde hair and was skinny, but he seemed to have muscle underneath. Then she pointed to a man next to Steve "Bucky." He was a tallish man with short dark hair. "Wanda" was a smaller woman, but she looked cool. She had long brown reddish hair. "And then Bruce is somewhere. He is a lab rat."
