As I woke I heard cars pull up. I sat up fast. "Shit dont do that." I had a hand on my head and stomach. I layed back down and listened.
"Ashlee?!!" I heard Jessi yell from the front yard. Great. If I didn't need to clean up I would have been miles away by now. I could hear people going into the house. I slowly this time got up out of the hammock.
"ASHLEE!!!" Jessi sounded panicked.
"I'm out here." I yelled back to her as I walked up to the back door.
"Omg Ashlee why are there a bunch of garbage bags near the front door? What happened?" Jessi rushed over to me.
I sighed and walked into the kitchen. I got a glass and went to the sink for some water.
"Well when I came home the front door was open." I said and then took a drink of water. I gulped it all down and set the glass on the counter. I turned and leaned onto the counter behind me. I was now looking at Jessi and I noticed she had a few others here with her.
"What do you mean open?" She looked over to Sam. Sam turned and disappeared into the rest of the house taking Thor with him.
"I already searched the house when I got home; it was just destroyed. I couldn't find anything missing." I waved my hand around.
"Well why were you outside?" She had one brow pushed up at me.
"Must have fallen asleep out in the hammock." I stated walking past her to the living room. Natasha, Wanda and Bucky were standing in there looking at the empty bottles I left on the coffee table.
"Doll, did you drink all of these?" Bucky asked, picking up a scotch bottle that was laying on its side.
I nodded and walked towards my room. Jessi followed me into my room.
"Ash, why?" Jessi asked as she closed my bedroom door.
"Ash why what?" I asked, grabbing a suitcase and a backpack out of my closet. I also grabbed a duffle bag I had under my bed.
"Well first why are you leaving? Second, do you know why the house got broken into? And lastly, why did you drink so much?" She sat down on my bed as I walked around putting things in bags to take with me.
"Well I wanted to drink and calm down. Also I already told you why I'm leaving. And lastly I don't know why the house got broken into they seemed to have been looking for something.'' I said going into my closet and grabbing clothes and a few pairs of shoes. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed the essentials. And walked back to the bags.
"Okay but we need to figure out why someone came all the way out here for something." She walked to the door "Sam" she called for him down the little hall.
He came up and stood outside the room. "What ya need babe?" He smiled at her.
"Could you guys make sure that there is no intention of someone coming back to do all that again?" She was standing just inside the room as she spoke to him.
I was still packing the bags and I was almost done when Sam agreed to help her and she turned back to me. I zipped up my last bag and put it on the suitcase handle.
"You can't leave now sis." She grabbed my arm as I walked past her with my stuff.
"I have to." I started gently pulling out of her grip. I walked to the front door and put my stuff there. I walked to the kitchen and went to the fridge to grab some water bottles for the drive. I put them on the counter so I could grab a plastic bag and some snacks for the ride also. I don't want to stop more than I have to.
"Why do you want to leave so badly?" Thor asked as he walked into the kitchen from the back yard.
"So Jessi and everyone can go back to their lives." I stated picking up the bag and walking to the front door.
"Please don't go, we can figure out everything." Jessi was on the verge of tears.
I shook my head at her.
Tony walked in through the front door. He was looking at his tablet. I rolled my eyes at him as I had to side step or he would have ran into me.
