"You have a mate now don't you Ashlee?" Natasha asked, walking up to Jessi.
"No" I said and walked out the front door to the car. I popped the trunk and started to put my things in it. I left it open and put my plastic bag on the front seat.
"But you do. He is just confused as you are Ashlee." Jessi was standing in front of the trunk.
"No. He is grossed out that something like me got paired with him. Thank you for getting the pain away but before the mate bond really kicks in. I'm getting far away from him." I stated picking her up by her waist and putting her down in front of Sam. Who joined us outside. It seemed that everyone came out of the house. I turned back to the trunk and put the last bag in it and closed it.
"So Loki is your mate?" Thor asked, walking up to my car.
I sighed and closed my eyes. "If I say yes can I leave?" I ask looking back at him blankly.
"If he is your mate, I guess you can only have one mate at a time for life. But if that is true, then why run away from it?" He followed me around the car and as I put a hand on the door handle he put one on the side of the door stopping me from opening it.
"Yes if someone chooses to keep their mate and not reject them then yes one and done. But if it's rejected it is possible to get a new one." I said pulling on the door handle. It didn't budge.
"Did you reject him?" He asked, looking down at me.
"Please move so I can leave." I said slowly. He was pissing me off.
"Ashlee, it's a valid question. Did you reject him?" Natasha asked. She came around the car with Bucky.
"How could I when he didn't stay long enough for me to." I gave up trying this door. I wanted to walk around the front of my car when Bucky got hold of my left arm.
"Thor get ahold of your brother and tell him to get his ass here." Tony was looking at me now from the other side of the car.
"Will do." Thor walked away from us and pulled out his phone.
"Bucky let go." I tried to pull my arm out of his grip.
"No you can't keep running away. Besides you don't really know if he doesn't want to be with you.'' I burst out laughing at Bucky's statement.
"Have you seen the way we interact since Jessi brought me with her. It has been awful. And he also ran away after he touched my arm. So you think he likes me?" I kept laughing.
"Ashlee it's just as bad for you with this all as it is for him." Jessi walked towards me.
"No Jessi, now that I'm 26 and I have a mate around. It's going to be a nightmare for me. I'm going to be a different person till the mate process is completed. It's not going to be fun or not painful till it's done. I was hoping to not find him right away so I had more time to plan things. But since i know who it is. it's going to be hell to stay away. But I'm doing it so the bad people like Torren will follow me and not hurt the people I'm around. And i dont ruin lives.'' I said sitting against the front of my car.
"And how do you finish the process of mating?" Tony asked, looking up at me again.
"It's a longer process than people think and not always the safest or cleanest." I sighed, closing my eyes.
"What do you mean?" Jessi sat next to me.
"Do you really want to know? I made the guy who told us the mate stuff to wait to tell me the messy details when you left.'' I looked at her from the corner of my eye.
"Why?" she asked.
"It's odd and messy," I laughed at her.
"Well tell me now." She sat against the hood.
"Fine I warn you all now it's going to be messy and embarrassing." I looked around at the people near me. They all nodded to me.
"Well what the guy gathered in his years of research said. I'm going to tell you in order he told me. When a wolf finds their mate and if their mate is a wolf also it's a little more intense. On a full moon after their birthday or birthdays if the mate and wolf are both the same age. they will undergo a ritual." I laughed "just like the others but not as intense. The wolves will mark each others shoulders"
"Mark?" Thor asked.
"Mark as in a bite that only other wolves can see. It is a tradition for wolves so that others won't try things. But with wolves that don't have a wolf mate it's almost the same. But only the wolf bites. Not both." I laughed. "I believe that magic users could see the mark also but haven't run into any to ask."
Jessi laughed "ok what else?"
"Well the mark is done when they are stuck together. It is done that way for all wolves even if their mate is human or other."
"What do you mean stuck together?" Bucky asked.
"Well.." I looked down at the ground. "Stuck as in dick in vag." I laughed. "The mateing is done with sex mostly. Male wolves even in human form have what is called a knot. I guess alphas have bigger ones. But as they mate it's to help their female produce their young but with the mating thing I don't get why they have it if the fates are in charge of finding their perfect one anyways. " I looked up to see all their faces.
"Wow." Jessi started looking shocked.
I nodded. "Yea that's what I said. But with that the mark is done when climax is reached for a stronger bond. But as they reach their high point it's best to bite them to insure they can have the great benefits. I guess it can be done with out sex but it will be a weaker bond and so on."
Jessi looked over to Sam. "So you were talking about rejection."
I nodded "yea thats is where any mate the wolf or not can say they don't want anything to do with them. You have to at least know their name and once you are certain that you can one handle the rejection and two go on without a mate or not. Some mates don't get a new one. But if you are certain then you make sure you are looking at them and say their name and pack if they are a wolf. And that you and you say your full name and if you are wolf then you're packs name to and then you say that you reject them." I finished.
"Can you give an example that is a little confusing?" Jessi asked.
I laughed. "Yeah, so let's call me a mate and my mate is a wolf too. I would say and I'm just giving random names. Ok. It would be like this. I Ashlee O'Conner of the Moon Pack reject you Dumbass Dumbass of the Dumbassery Pack as my mate.'' I laughed.
They all laughed at the name I said.
"Ok that doesn't seem too bad." Natasha finally said as everyone started to calm down.
"Will as the words are spoken and the other accepts or denies the rejection it could be horrible. If they accept then the bond breaks and there is pain in the heart. If the bond is stronger, then the bond braking could kill. Like if maybe one or both are marked. If they reject the rejection then it's only half broken. And that can be worse." I said standing up and walking a little bit away. "And with me not having a pack or other wolves help me. I'm more prone to death with a rejection no matter how strong it is. If I just run, I can deal with the pain and cravings. Since now I know I have a mate and the mate bond will get stronger as time goes. Faster if I'm around the mate. And I have been around him for a little bit now. And I prefer to not have any craving from the mate bond.'' I took a deep breath.
"What cravings?" Jessi asked.
"You know how you feel around Sam sis." I stated looking up at the sky.
"So it will be sexual feelings?" Bucky asked.
"Yes but not all. It will also be protection. And comfort. The bond will let me feel all that and i'm not sure how.'' I wrinkled my brows.
My senses tingled and my head snapped towards behind my car. There stood my mate and I froze. My breath almost stopped. And my heart jumped into my throat.
Everyone looked where I was looking.
