"Well, I met her near my hometown one summer. She was out camping with some people, and she saw me and claimed me as a friend, so I just went with it that summer. After that she left for a while and when she came back to the town it was like she was only gone for a few weeks, yet she was gone for four years" I told him as I stared at the table in front of me.
"Wow she does have that effect on a crowd. She is very..."
"Much," I laughed.
He laughed with me, "Yea that seems right."
I took a long swig from my glass and glanced up to find I was still getting stared at. I shook it off and chatted with Bucky and Thor. It had been hours when Jessi came back to the table.
"Hey Ashhhhh..." She was a little tipsy as she talked however it was funny to watch her.
"Yes Jessi?" I asked if I wasn't that far in like she was. I also could handle liquor better.
"I'm going to stay here tonight. Is that okay.?" She whispered to me.
I laughed at her "Yes, Jessi as long as you call me in the morning." She squealed and hugged me and turned to Sam. Sam was smiling down at her as she was hugging him. He looked at me and mouthed thanks and took her away. I just shook my head.
Thor came back with another drink for me. I smiled up at him and thanked him. He patted my head and sat down in his chair across from me. Bucky and him started talking and I was sipping my drink. I looked around and noticed again Loki was scowling at me.
"Do you have an issue?" I finally asked him. Thor and Bucky stopped talking and looked at me and then to Loki.
"No, why do you ask?" He stated like it was nothing.
"Because all night I've been getting scolded by you for some reason. Why?'' I said my ears were red by now. He was just irritating me. He just stared at me again. I took a deep breath and stood. As I did, I heard a scream.
"Jessi??" I ran to where people were staring and pushed through. Sam and some others were fighting some people, but I didn't see Jessi.
"Sam, where is Jessi?!" I yelled at him.
All he was able to do was point. I ran in the direction he pointed.
"Ashlee, where do you think you're going?" I could hear Thor yell after me.
But I heard another scream. And quickly kicked my shoes off and sped down the hall following the screams. I could hear footsteps behind me, but I simply didn't care to look. I saw a door slam close two doors down and heard a scream again. I stopped at the door and turned the handle. It was locked. Shit. I stepped back and threw myself at the door and shockingly it slammed open. And I didn't like the view I saw.
It was Jessi that I heard scream and she was now unconscious on the floor, her dress ripped and a shoe missing, and she was bleeding from her head and a shoulder seemed to have been cut.
"What the fuck!?" I yelled as I got more in the room.
There was a guy over her huffing for breath. He turned to me and grinned. "Yay another. Not as pretty but will do." He said as he turned to me.
I held my hand up at him. "The first, rude second, not happening and thirdly, get away from my sister."
He just smiled and came at me. His arms were out like he was going to hug me. I side-stepped his ass and ducked under his arm. I threw a punch with my right hand to the side of his face. He fell to the ground holding his face as I stepped between Jessi and him.
"You will regret that bitch." He scowled at me, whipping the blood off his lip. He pulled a knife out from his back. I got in a fighting stance waiting for him. He came at me. I heard people coming to the room. As they showed up, he was already at me slashing the air in front of himself. I was able to grab his right wrist that held the knife and twist him to the right with his arm behind him. He was still holding the knife, but he was falling face first to the ground. I landed with my right knee on his back and my right arm still holding his wrist with the knife in it. I pushed his wrist up towards his head and he yelled at me in pain, but let the knife go. It landed on the left side of his body, so I put all my weight on him and kicked it away from him. It went to the door where Thor, Sam, Bucky, Loki and Natasha were standing. Natasha and Thor came in and grabbed the guy from me. Sam went to Jessi. Bucky and Loki were standing in the doorway. As they took the guy, I was able to breathe again and went to Sam who had now picked Jessi up.
