Princess?

Chapter 5

Kenzie's POV

Draco had moved his arm so he could eat but we still sat rather close together for the entirety of the meal.

Once we all finished eating we started to walk back to the common room, Draco walking beside me and we were following the group from the back.

It was quiet the whole walk back to the common room.

Everyone went and sat on the couch but I spoke up and said," I'll be right back, I'm going to change into something more comfortable." Everyone nods and I walk off to my room.

I quickly got changed into a pair of leggings and a Slytherin sweatshirt and walked back to the common room.

When I got there, everyone was sitting on the couches with the only seat open was next to Draco. So I walked over to where Draco was, he looked at me and smiled as I sat next to him. Still smiling, he pulled me into his side, wrapping his arm around me. I already know I'm blushing so I laid my head on his chest. He pulled me in closer, leaning his head on mine.

Being so close to him I could smell his expensive cologne.

Everyone sat there talking for a little bit although I didn't talk much, just laid there with Draco. I started to feel tired and closed my eyes, barely awake but I could still hear them. I felt him wrap his other arm around me, gently pulling me into his lap. I was sitting in his lap with my legs on either side of him, laying on his chest with my head nuzzled into his neck.

Apparently, everyone thought I was asleep and they kept talking in whispers. I heard Crabbe and Goyle say their goodbyes and left.

It went quiet for a few minutes after they left, then I heard Pansy ask quietly," Are you ever going to tell her?"

I was confused by the question but kept my eyes shut, trying not to fall asleep.

I then heard Draco ask back," Tell her what?" Who are they talking about?

Pansy then says,"How stupid do you think I am? I know you have feelings for her, just admit it."

He has feelings for someone else.

I hear Draco quietly say,"Of course I have feeling for her. I just don't know if she has the same feelings or not. What if she doesn't like me back? Or just as friends?"

I hear Blaise and Theo chuckle then Theo says,"If she didn't like you like that, would she be sitting in your lap sleeping?"

Oh shit. They're talking about me. He does like me.

I don't hear anything for a second until Blaise says,"Why don't you just tell her or do something about it?"

"I-I will do something, I just- I don't want to lose her if she doesn't feel the same."

Boys are so oblivious. Even if I didn't feel the same, although I do, he'd never lose me.

"You need to tell her." Pansy says.

"I-I'm going to. I'll do something about it." Draco answers still stuttering.

Pansy softly laughs and said,"Good, because if you don't tell her, we will."

"You wouldn't." Draco scowls at her.

Then I hear Theo say,"But we would."

I hear Draco scoff then it went quiet. I heard someone leave but I was too tired to open my eyes. I gave into my tiredness and fell asleep with him holding me.

Draco's POV

At the table, I was sat close to Kenzie so I could move my arm but she'd still feel me next to her.

Everyone finished so we started walking back to the common room. Kenzie and I fell to the back of the group, walking side by side.

When we got to the common room, everyone went to the couch so I sat at one of the ends. Kenzie said she was going to change, the only spot left on the couches was next to me so she'd have to sit by me.

When she came back, she was in leggings and a hoodie but somehow she looked even hotter than before.

She looked around for a place to sit and saw the only spot was beside me. She started walking over towards me and I looked at her and smiled. She sat beside me and without thinking, still smiling, I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her into me.

I could see her blush as she put her head on my chest and I couldn't help but smile, pulling her closer and put my head on hers.

We sat there and talked for a little bit but Kenzie didn't say much and just stayed laying on my chest.

After a few minutes I looked down, she had her eyes closed. I could tell she was asleep because her breathing had slowed.

I gently wrapped my other arm around her and pulled her into my lap so she straddled my lap. She nuzzled he head into the crook of my neck, still sound asleep.

Crabbe and Goyle got up, said their goodbyes and went off the the dorms.

We sat in silence for a few minutes when Pansy said quietly,"Are you ever going to tell her?"

I looked at the boys, who shook their heads that they didn't tell her, and responded to Pansy," Tell her what?" She couldn't know, could she?

Pansy rolls her eyes and asks me," How stupid do you think I am? I know you have feeling for her, just admit it."

Am I that obvious?

Well she's already figured it out so,"Of course I have feelings for her. I just don't know if she has the same feelings or not. What if she doesn't like me back? Or just as friends?"

Blaise and Theo start chuckling until Theo says,"If she didn't like you like that, would she be sitting in your lap sleeping?"

So she does like me? I'm suddenly surrounded by confused on what do to now.

Blaise must have noticed my confusion and said,"Why don't you just tell her or do something about it?"

I hesitate for a second then I respond,"I-I will do something, I just- I don't want to lose her if she doesn't feel the same."

I stuttered. I've never stuttered about a girl. But Kenzie is different, she always has been.

Pansy looks me in the eyes and says," You need to tell her."

"I- I'm going to. I'll do something about it."

Pansy chuckles," Good, because if you don't tell her, we will."

"You wouldn't." I scowl at her.

Theo cuts in and says,"But we would."

I scoff then we all just sit there in silence. Soon after, the three get up and leave, leaving just me and Kenzie.

They're right. I need to tell her. I'm going to do it.
