Princess?

Prologue

Kenzie's POV

*First year*
Todays my first day at hogwarts, hopefully I'll be in Slytherin. I could deal with Ravenclaw, as I have the brains but Gryffindor and Hufflepuff I can't stand.

It's in my blood to be in Slytherin. From the long pureblood line, they are all Slytherins. My family, the blanks, are very high in the wizarding world. Both my father and mother work for the ministry as Aurors.

My parents dropped me off early at the train so they could get to work so I've found a empty compartment.

As it gets closer to 11am the train everyone is starting to file into the compartments.

Just about we are about to leave and I thought I'd have the compartment to myself, I hear a knock and the door slide open. I look up from the book I was reading and see platinum blonde haired boy standing in the doorway.

"Can I help you?" I asked, curious as to why he's standing there.

"Can I sit here? All the other compartments are full.", the boy says.

"Sure."  He walked in and puts his stuff up. He turns around and looks at me for second, then asks,"What's your name?"

I stand up," How rude of me, Kenzie Applewood," I say while holding my hand out to shake his, "and you are?"

He looks shocked, probably recognizing the last name but shakes my hand and says, " Malfoy, Draco Malfoy."

I've heard of the Malfoy's before but don't know much about them, other than his father works at the ministry with my parents," It's nice to meet you." "Same to you", he says. We both sit back down across from each by the window.

" What house do you want to be in?", the boy asks.

"Slytherin", I respond confidently while my eyes go darker thinking about it.

"Same here."

After we talked for a bit we realized the train was slowing down and that we had arrived. We said our goodbyes and went to the great hall.

At the sorting ceremony, Draco was one of the first to and was quickly sorted into Slytherin like he wanted. After about 15 students, they called my name.

"Kenzie Applewood", Professor McGonagall said.

I walk up to the chair and sit. She places the hat on my head and it starts talking to me quietly. I look over to the Slytherin table and instantly make eye contact with the Malfoy boy. He smiles at me then I look away.

"Hmm", the hat starts," I see bravery, but that won't be a right fit......Ooo very loyal, but definitely not a Hufflepuff..... Very smart yet extremely cunning..... I know, SLYTHERIN!!"

I get up and go to the Slytherin table and Draco waves me over to sit by him.

Right as dinner is starting, he says,"I think we'll be great friends."

"I think we will Malfoy."

*time skip to end of 3rd year*

Im rattled awake by a platinum blonde saying he starving and wants to go eat. Once he sees I'm awake he goes to the common room to wait

I get out of bed and throw on a hoodie to go with the shorts I already had one, not really caring what people think.

I go down to the common room to meet Draco who's sitting on the couch.

When he sees me coming down the stair he gets up and says," Good morning Princess."

"I don't know what's good about the morning but good morning to you too."

It's Saturday which means no classes and not many people were in the great hall for breakfast.

Me and Draco sit down near the end of the table and start eating.

Just as I'm about to finish I see an owl coming to me. I recognize the owl. My fathers'.

It drops a black envelope in my lap and flies off. I look confusingly at Draco who just shakes his head and tells me to open it.

I slowly read it and it's talking about getting distracted from my studies and worrying I'm not learning enough.

It was until I got to the last time, was when I started to cry.

The last time read," We will be there to pick you up this afternoon to take you to Beauxbatons where you will continue your studies."

Draco looks up and sees me crying and takes the letter from me, reading it quickly.

He then wraps his arms around me and says," I don't want you to leave."

*time skip to later that day*

I'm all packed with the help of Draco. My parent have just gotten here and I have to say bye to Draco, who brought my truck to Dumbledores office.

I turn around and hug him, he immediately returns the hug.

I look up at him and say," I don't want to leave you, your my best friend."

" I don't want you to leave but you have to, I'm going to miss you."

" I'll miss you too." 

We let go of the hug and wave goodbye.

"Goodbye Draco", I say with tears running down my face.

I see a tear run down his cheek as he says," Goodbye Princess."
