𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠'𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 {Outer Banks}

Wind blowing in her black straighted hair Azariah had a huge smile on her face as she rode her bike

Her bike was a green shade with a white basket and black seat. It's what she got for her 15th birthday from both of her parents

She absolutely loved that thing

The girl had always found the wind blowing in her hair fun, blasting music while biking soothing, and watching the sunset while going by calming

Riding bike was like therapy for her. She could do it upon a hours and hours

And apparently she was not the only person who enjoyed it. Every parent on both sides of the island knew Azariah rode her bike literally everywhere she went

Yet they didn't mind because she always had a smile on her while pedaling and it calmed the adults too

It was so refreshing to see a teen enjoying their teens years and not a party doing drugs, getting drunk and driving, or even just driving

She just made everyone so happy when she biked by, no matter what mood they were in

Which is why Deja normally always lets her go bike around. She didn't want to stop her daughter from making memories or enjoy her summer, except last year. See the teen had snuck out way to much that the woman had to drive her daughter everywhere

Trust, it was not fun for either of the females

But that wasn't how it was going to be this summer; because with Azariahs life being cut short, the woman wanted her live as much as possible

So she had made a promise to herself that this year she would let her daughter go anywhere she wanted as long as she did her chores, ate beforehand, and wasn't doing illegal activities

And so far it was working out. Minus the eating before rule she almost broke

But that's because she was making food for her hangout, and she did in fact plan to eat there

Currently she was biking to the beach to meet her friends and have a bonfire. In her bag were sandwiches she had made

They all had to bring something and today Azariah was assigned to sandwiches. She made the literal best sandwiches to ever be on earth

She used bread you would find at a deli shop, and put on turkey, colby jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on it

Kiara was told to bring the fruits like watermelon and kiwi, Sarah was bringing towels for everyone

John B had to bring a cooler with drinks, Pope got stuff to make s'mores, and finally Jj just had to bring the ice

It was always so fun meeting up with them

When she got there everyone was already there and had their stuff laid out. The only thing they had to do was make the bonfire, but that was for later

"Riah!! You finally made it." Kiara ran up the girl and put her arm around her

Smiling pope and jj came running up to her and picking her up "Ahh smileys here!"

They shouted and laughed which made Sarah and John B turn around and start walking towards the four

For a minute the six chatted while Azariah set her stuff down and laid it out

But then Jj shouted something "Last one to the water has to walk home!" He held a big goofy smile on his face and laughed

Immediately everyone took off

They all ran super fast and so fast that pope actually tripped over his feet and tumbled into the sand

Which made him the last one in the water. But we made it clear he was not doing the punishment

"I am not walking home guys!!" He yelled as he dusted sand of his body. Everyone laughed and shouted at him to just get in

They all swam around and played games. They had a splash fight and a handstand contest

Azariah won! And is was all just so wholesome, so the Barlowe girl had to make sure she didn't any moment of these hangouts for granted

When they are all done swimming after about two hours the sun was now setting and cresting a beautiful pink and orange sky

They decided it was time to eat, but they had one minor issue "Uh where are the plates." Pope asked concerned

Jj just shrugged while Kie along with Sarah and laughed as they looked down

The Heyward boy was looking directly at Azariah and just had the blaming look on his face

"What! Ok this is not my fault, so don't look at me!!" She put her hands up in sarcastic defense while slightly laughing

John B looked at Pope "Dude I thought you were bringing the plates. You know, since you're bringing the s'mores stuff."

They all went back and forth until Azariah brought up the fact that she had wrapped the sandwich's and they had napkins so they didn't exactly need plates

It was a laughing moment. And as the sun continued to set, they ate their food and began sharing their plans for the summer

Pope really wanted to build his college resumé this summer by volunteering, taking extra classes and courses, along with contacting colleges. Kiara wanted to hatch turtles this summer with her volunteer group she was in, Sarah realized she wanted to have a care free summer

And as for John B and Jj the two decided to work for the kooks and make money. One being at the country club and the other cleaning a yacht

Once they were done eating it was now dark and they decided to play some football and set up the fire

The moonlight illuminated their running figures and the teeth that was shown from their smiles

Azariah felt truly happy as she ran around with her friends, tackling them and stealing the ball

It was one of those moments that you would see in a movie, and she loved it. Because this is exactly what she wanted this summer

And so as their game ended and the six absolutely devoured their s'mores a smile never left anyones face and laughter constantly filled the air

This is what summer was. This is what it was all about, what her summer was all about

Genuine happiness

hi guys!! so sorry this took so long to put out, i have been working a lot and doing school

but just know i do really love this book and this has moved to the top of my priorities so get ready for lots of new chapters :)

also i got tickets to an arctic monkeys concert for august and my bestie is going with me!
