YOUR POV:

I sneezed into my oversized light purple drew house hoodie. It was raining today and the up and down, hot and cold weather did nothing but make me get sick. Not only was I sick, I was also starting to get sick of Peter. He's been in a sour mood for the last few days at least, and very quick to become temperamental which isn't like Peter at all. Where the boy was, I didn't know. I waited at his locker for him to show. Despite my feelings brewing about him, I was still his friend and just because he was going through some type of second puberty or whatever, wasn't gonna push me away from him.

"There you are y/n, I was looking for you." Kate breathed out, "Listen, I'm not gonna be able to come over this weekend. I kind of got into some trouble, moms really upset. I'm really sorry."

I smiled a little to show her that I wasn't bothered by her absence yet still sad enough to show that I liked her just as much as the others, "It's okay. We'll miss you but I understand."

Kate patted my shoulder and smiled, "I knew you would. Catch ya later!"

Blowing out a breath, I pushed myself off of Peter's locker just in time to sneeze into my hoodie once more. I groaned under my breath, seeing Ned bent over at the drinking fountain and MJ leaning against the wall next to him.

"Hey guys." I greeted.

Ned stood and wiped the excess water from his mouth with his jacket sleeve, "Hey. You wouldn't happen to see Peter would you?"

I shook my head, "Nope. I was hoping you had. He's not acting like himself."

"I agree." Ned hummed, "Listen, while we have you here, I won't be able to come over this weekend for the scary movie marathon. My mom heard a rumor that someone was kidnapped or something. The police are working on a missing persons case so I'm under lock down for the weekend."

I furrowed my eyebrows, something I did when I was focusing. A missing person? I'd have to ask my dad about this and see if it's true.

"It's okay, I understand." I told the Filipino.

"I won't be able to make it either. I'm covering someone's shift at the coffee shop. Sorry girl." MJ frowned.

A deep sigh left my nose as I leaned against the wall, "It's fine, guys. I'm gonna assume Peter isn't coming since nobody has seen him, so me and my inner demons can just eat all the snacks and maybe work through some shit." I tried to joke, a little sad the weekend wasn't going like I had hoped. Shit happened though and I did understand. I guess there was always next weekend. A second or so later Peter had walked up, looking a little fed up and irritated already. He gave me a slight glare before leaning down to get a drink at the water fountain.

"Hey, it's Peter!" Ned cheered, slapping his friends back, "Where ya been dude?"

Peter ignored him as he stood straight and wiped his mouth with the back of his head, "Surprised to see you without your boyfriend by your side."

"He's not my boyfriend, Parker. Would you shut the hell up with that?" I rolled my eyes, "I can function without Loki, guys. You are acting like I'm always with him."

The group went silent, Peter's intense stare burning into my skull and my anxiety started to rise. I was a little hurt. Nobody was trying to say my words weren't true, but the silence was louder.

"Wow guys." I scoffed, crossing my arms over my chest. The bell had just rang and everyone was going to their classes while we were still lingering in the hall.

"I mean we've noticed you've been kind of stuck to his side since you met him." MJ mumbled.

"He's just always around, that's what we mean." Ned shifted on his feet.
