Author's Pov

The family gathered in the living room once again. Elena was sleeping peacefully in the room. 

"God...it's like the third time we have gathered here for a stupid meeting" Elizabeth groans in annoyance. 

"Behave. It's an order from the Alpha." Stefan says, referring to his dad. Eliza simply rolls her eyes. 

Anne shook her head, disappointed with her sister's behaviour. Hunter and Amora soon entered the room. 

"Sorry we are late guys, Elena was-" Hunter was cut off by Elizabeth. 

"Elena, Elena, Elena! I am tired of this girl! Gosh, why is she here in the first place?? Just leave her alone. Her parents will come and get her! We are not a part of some stupid organisation that we have to take care of her! She is not a part of this family!" 

Hunter glares at her with a scowl. Amora comes and slaps her. Noah gasps and Anne opens her mouth to speak but closes it without any word. 

"Is this the way I gave you manner? huh? To speak like this and to act like this? STOP BEING RUDE ELIZABETH! She is a five-year-old who was freaking abused under her foster parents! She has no one in this world. Not even a single relative. She was running away from her fifth foster parent who abused her. She couldn't take it anymore and run into the dark forest at night! Do you even have any idea what a horrible life she was living? The poor girl was almost raped!" Amora yells at her daughter, tears rolling down her cheeks. 

Everyone was silent, even Hunter. No one knew about the girl's past except Amora. After a minute or two, Stefan broke the silence by clearing his throat, "How...did you know all this?" 

Amora looks at him and smiles sadly, "After the doctor left, I was changing her clothes when I saw big brushes. Her ribs were almost broker and her condition was bad so I did a check-up. I then asked our beta to check about her. And from there I got to know about it."

"Why didn't you tell me about it?" Hunter asks. "I was going to, in a better way but turns out our daughter loves spoiling the mood." Amelia says with a sigh. 

Elizabeth was a crying mess. Her tears were not stopping and her face was red. She couldn't believe she thought such bad stuff about a girl whose life was horrible. She was being arrogant and jealous of Elena. 

"Mom...I...am sorry...I was jealous of her...the attention everyone was giving her...I was rude and mean...I am really sorry" Eliza whispers. Amelia hugs her daughter. She didn't mean to be rude to her but all the things she got to know about Elena were too much for her to take in. 

Anne claps her hand, "Enough of this emotional drama. Dad, why are we here? I am super hungry so be quick~" 

Hunter smiles at Anne and chuckles, "Well...It seems like we are going to have a new member in our family." 

"WHAT?!?! MUM IS PREGNANT?" Noah shouts with wide eyes. Amora blushes and Anne gasps. Hunter laughs, amused by her wife's reaction. 

"Uh. not yet boy, if you want then I can surely-" 

"Eww dad" Mark says while making a face of disgust. 

Amora groans, "Gosh! Stop it! What Hunter mean is that we are adopting Elena."
