Elena's Pov
"Baby!" Mum yells from behind. I slowly peel my eyes off the garden fountain and look at her. She motions me to come and I smile.
Jumping down the bench, I run towards her. She laughs but says nothing. I hug her tightly and she pats my head. I look at her, "Yes mommy?"
She smiles, "Baby, you shouldn't sit alone in the dark. Come and have dinner" I nod. She takes my hand in hers. Wow...Her hands are so soft. Hehe.
"What's funny?" Mum asks with a smile. I grin, "Your hand, mommy" . Mum chuckles and opens the door to the dining room.
Everyone was sitting there. I ran towards dad, leaving mum's hand. Dad smiles and picks me up, I giggle, "Papa! Your beard is hurting my cheeks" I pout.
He laughs, "Fine fine, I will take care of it. May I kiss your cheeks now?" He asks. I smile and nod. Dad gives me a kiss.
Mum sets everyone's plate, Anne helping her.
"And here is your apple plate" Mum sings. I grin. ya yay! My favourite apple plate. When I told dad that I love apples, he bought me an apple-shaped plate. I giggle at the thought.
Soon, everyone begins to eat, except me. I looked at the plate and dad noticed, "Why are you not eating, baby?"
I looked at him, "Um what is this?". He looks shocked, in fact, everyone stopped eating and looked at me.
"You have never eaten bacon?" Noah asks. I shook my head, looking down. My old master never allowed me to have food. I only used to eat pieces of bread or eggs...
Mum brings the fork towards me, a smile on her face. I looked at it, biting my lips. What if it's bad?
"It's good, princess. Try it" Dad says in a soft voice. I...trust them. Slowly opening my mouth, I eat.
I chew it a little and it's flavour....yummy. I smile and give a thumbs-up to mum and dad. Everyone starts eating again, giving me a smile..except...um I think you know who.
A few Hours Later
(Author's Pov)
A yawn escapes through Elena as she stares at the Tv. Her eyes were heavy, begging her to sleep yet she was there, watching television with her family. Luca looks at her and noticed how she was trying hard to keep her eyes open.
He smiles at her sister, "Elena, I am tired. Wanna sleep with me today? We can cuddle. What do you say?"
Elena nods, trying to express her excitement. Everyone looks at Him with a questioning gaze.
She is sleepy. He says in his mind link. Everyone nods and sets their attention back on the TV. Hunter smiles. It's been a week now and Elena has wrapped everyone around their little finger.
Luca opens his bedroom door and gently places the sleeping girl in the bed. Covering her little body with a large blanket. He goes to the bathroom and after doing his business, he joins her in the bed.
Spooning her little body, he kisses her head and closes his eyes.
"NO! PLEASE!" A voice screams. It was midnight, around 2 am. Luca opens his eyes, covering Elena's body to protect her from the intruder.
"PLEASE! AHH" He looks at the girl who was thrashing around in his arms. His eyes widen. Fuck. The room bursts open and his whole family enters.
"What's Happening?" Anne asks as she looks at the precious girl who was not in the right state.
The girl's face was red, filled with tears that were rolling down her cheeks like a waterfall. Sweat covered her body, and her face held panicking and fear.
"MASTER! PLEASE! I AM SORRY" Elena yells. Her nightmare became stronger. Amora rushes to her side and hugs the girl.
Caressing her hair she murmurs sweetly, "You are okay, Baby. Breathe for Mumma. Shhh it's okay. Relax"
Elena was still crying, thrashing a little but her voice was gone now. She was trapped in a nightmare but she could feel a sweet voice...asking her to breathe. She immediately recognised the voice. Mum...
Gradually, her breathing becomes even. She was still sobbing but she was silent. Elena wraps her tiny hands around her mother.
"Mumma...he...he was...they..." Elena says between her hiccups. Her mother continues to caress her hair.
"It's alright, love" Hunter says. Elena opens her eyes and looks at her family. Millions of thoughts were running around her head.
"They used to beat...me" Elena whispers softly but everyone hears it, thanks to their hearing power.
The atmosphere of the room suddenly changes.
