"Nancy Wheeler,we finally get to meet.Properly this time,"the voice sneered.

The brunette tried stand up from the pool of water, only to fall back down again."Who are you,"she screamed, covering her face with her hands, only peeking through the small gaps between her fingers.Stupid idea. She saw the most gruesome looking monster walking towards her like a wind up toy.Thick, vine like skin covered him from head to toe, giving him a red jelly like appearance. They had met before, well not really, but she'd seen him.It was Vecna.

"Remember me now,Nancy Wheeler?"his voice remained patronising so much so that she wished her legs would cooperate just for a moment even.
"I know this isn't an ideal way for us to talk for the first time,"he started when she didn't reply to his earlier question,"get used to it though, this isn't the last time we'll be talking here."

At that her mind swam and she thought that maybe getting killed by Vecna wasn't the worst option to choose from.It would at least spare her from this weird meet and greet with him, which was suddenly turning more dreadful as she sat in silence.
"Thinking of dying?" His voice brought her straight back to look at his vile face, seriously though, she felt her chin being moved up like a marionette or some puppet under the control of a master.

"No,"she lied, her breath hitching as she thought of what Robin would say if she looked through the girls mind.Maybe it was always her purpose to be the hero that dies for everyone else, takes one for the team, sacrifices themselves.
Perhaps dying would give the others even more of a reason to get rid of this psychopath-give them a little bit of fuel so that their engines could work at full power instead of just halfway.

"Lying is useless,"he grunted lowly, snapping his fingers only for an image of Robin holding her,at what she presumed to be the very moment, just in the upside down and not in this black hole,to pop up in her mind. That was the only thing her eyes could focus on,it was as if she couldn't even move them slightly."You want to give this girl up?"his voice asked, making the only good point he's made...ever.

Never in her life had she shook her head so quickly, tears and beads of sweat streaming down her face to form something more salty than herself.
She watched as Robin held her tightly to herself, also crying loud ragged sobs, unable to control herself, the tears landing on top of her upside down selves head.It seemed like Eddie and Steve were panicking to her side, their hands placed on their faces, blocking out the view in front of them as the blonde refused to part with her limp body.Robin, possibly one of the most uncertain people, who always had to be reassured, was now acting way more courageous than the two boys, who she'd expected to be the ones in action.

That same exact Robin that Nancy would stay up on the phone with when the girl had a nightmare,or watched crawl under the covers whenever thunder sounded outside the window, squeezing herself into the smaller girls arms. The Robin that would get all flustered and red whenever Nancy talked to her before they started dating, hiding behind walls and pretending she wasn't there when she was present, too nervous to even talk to her.

All of this made her think for the little time she had.Nancy knew Robin was brave, but seeing her hold her-what seemed like-lifeless body, shone a greater light onto her, making affection and desire stronger for the girl.Even if she wasn't as fearless as she'd expected,it wouldn't make her love her any less. She hoped that maybe she would have time to tell her that at least.
