maybe tw for some blood (idk)

"I think I'm going to fucking shit myself, why
does this have to be so nerve wrecking,"Robin breathed besides Nancy, which earned her a knowing look of fright from the brunette. It helped a little to know that she wasn't the only one that felt that way,but at the same time it would be pretty weird if she didn't.

Thoughts continued to race through the freckled girls mind and she could only think about whether or not she and Nancy were going to make it out alive by the end of this night. Not just them two but everyone else, even in the normal Hawkins. What if this Vencman got hold of Max,who was already in danger,or another one of their vulnerable child friends?Sure they have El to fight things off for a while, but she isn't a machine that can carry on doing the same tedious task forever;she'll get tired one day.

Sometimes Robin wished that her mind wouldn't make her think of the most horrible situations ever when she's going about her day. It's like playing with an explosive, you don't know exactly when it will explode but you can feel it slightly. The tension getting stronger as the pit in your stomach splits open and begins to take all the happiness and hope from you until all you're left with is worry and instincts. It's exactly like that, except there's no tension, but the sensation of sweat sliding down her back and her eyes fluttering shut in order to escape herself.

It never works and it always ends up disrupting other people.Once it got so bad during one of her shifts that Steve had to call Nancy, who was also working,to help Robin settle. It embarrassed her that she couldn't handle things like a 'normal' person. It's the fact that it always started with a small thought like this and then the lights seemed too bright and the world too noisy, her shirt too tight against her skin as her breathing became irregular. She tried to shut everything down but it was always too much, and she didn't want it to happen at this moment.

"Rob,you okay?"Nancy asked, slightly lowering down her gun as to not seem like she was about to shoot Robin with it when she turned to face her.Was she okay? No,not really in any way shape or form but Nancy already knew that,it was just a question that people asked each other."Of course.Just scared,"she replied with a weak chuckle, that somehow seemed worse each time she replayed it in her mind.

There was a sudden creak behind the two girls and the small grins they had on their faces disappeared immediately. He was getting closer.Right that moment he was probably walking up the stairs,on his way to do his weird little levitating thing in the attic as he sucked the eyes out of another poor soul.Fuck, their brains weren't working properly and they both froze up like ice statues for a moment, only glancing at each other in pure terror. Then the only logical thing, they snuck off into a closet, that fit both of them, just like they had gone over in the plan and waited there in absolute silence.

Robin could feel Nancys back pressed up against her chest and the side of her arm as they squatted on the wooden base of the closet, their hearts sure to leap out of their chests at any given moment. What if this guy was like a dog and had a really good sense of smell and could hear amazingly, and just sensed them?It was a random thought but she couldn't shake it off.

There was a little more creaking and shuffling around on the floorboards as he must've reached the top,now walking to the centre of the room to begin the process. It was just a matter of moments before they would have to leave the safety of this small enclosed space, revealing their vulnerable selves.
Nancy looked over at Robin and clasped her hand in hers just incase it was the last time she would ever do that, making the girl react right away as tears that she was trying to keep at bay sprung to her eyes. There was no time for getting emotional though. They nodded to each other when they heard Vecna groan coarsely from the other side of the closet, signalling that he had entered his trance.
