The news came sooner than the three of you thought that Jamie-Leigh was out of surgery and awake. She was asking to see you and Theodore as soon as possible.

Your father took you and Theo to St Mungo's to see her now that she was ready. You were really nervous, nobody knew what was happening and if they knew what happened, they didn't know why.

Theo and you walked into the room your father pointed you towards and there she was, your baby sister was laying in a hospital bed with needles poking into her veins. Bags of liquid and a few with blood were hung up and being pumped into her body through the needles.

The sight was horrible, you hated seeing her like that after everything she had been through. She looked so weak, like she was almost ready to fall asleep and not wake up again. You were determined to at least try not to let that happen.

"There you are, my favourite people." Jamie croaked, her voice weak.

You and Theo walked over to either side of her bed, hugging your sister like you hadn't seen her in years. You started to cry and she noticed and started to laugh, wiping your tears away with both of her hands.

Theo sat down on her bed next to her, you staying standing next to her bed, holding her hand. You were still crying and she was still laughing at you, the two of you not noticing how hard Theo was trying not to cry at the sight of his twin sister in a hospital bed.

Then you noticed his eyes filling with tears, and when Jamie turned to get a look at him, the tears feel from his eyes and he couldn't stop crying.

"Oh my gosh." Jamie laughed and dropped your hand, hugging Theo and wiping his face dry. "It's okay, Theo. I'm okay."

"You're not though, don't lie." He cried into her shoulder. "You're dying, Jamie."

"Don't say that word." She pulled away from his hug and looked him in the eye. "I don't want to think of dying when I'm with you two, my family, my best friends."

"But you are dying. I can't ignore it anymore, I'm so sorry." Theo sobbed, pulling you and Jamie in for a hug. "I don't want to loose you, you're my best friend and the person I grew up with. We are meant to have so many more years together."

"It's okay." Jamie started to cry too. "We still have a month."

•••

It was now the fifth of December, twenty more days until Christmas Day. All of your Christmas shopping had been done, you had gifts for everyone important to you now. You were ready to go home to Grimmauld Place today for the holidays, along with Theo, the Steele's, the Weasley's, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.

You and Theo spent lots of days with Jamie in the hospital until she was released. She didn't come back to school and never would, she got sent back to Grimmauld Place with your father, you and Theo had to pack her things and bring them home with you two.

Fred and George were in your dorm which was practically empty, no important personal belongings were anywhere in the room except for in your trunk which would be taken soon. The boys' trunks were also in your room, ready to be taken as well.

You and Fred hadn't had much time to talk, he knows about Jamie's cancer and what happened, including why she was in the hospital. He knew that she only had a month left to live, he comforted you through every emotion you were feeling from it.

Only you, your father, Professor Mcgonagall, Dumbledore, Theo, Fred and Anthony knew about Jamie. You intended to keep it that way at least until you were back from the holidays.

The three of you were talking when there was knock at your door. George got up to answer it, and standing there was Professor Flitwick with a cart that would fill five trunks maximum.

"Trunks please, Mr Weasley." The Professor said and moved the cart so George can put the trunks on it.

Fred got up to help George, placing yours on there for you as well. Flitwick said thank you and left with your trunks to load them onto the Hogwarts Express.

"I don't want to go home." You groaned and laud back on your bed dramatically.

"Why not?" George asked and laid down on the floor.

"Because it's Christmas. I don't want to have to decorate the tree and sit around it opening presents." You lied, that wasn't the real reason.

You didn't want go home because you knew it would be your last Christmas with Jamie, as a whole family.

"George, do you want to go find Ron, Ginny and everybody else to see if their ready to go?" Fred asked his twin brother.

"Not really." George said and sat up.

"Tough. Go find them, also find us a compartment on the train. Make sure they are all settled first though." Fred said.

"Fine. Who do we need room for in the compartment?" He asked and stood up, grabbing the last few things he had with him.

"Me, you, Em, Anthony and enough leg room for me to put my legs up and sleep for the whole ride home." Fred said and George rolled his eyes, waving goodbye and leaving.

Once the door shut, you opened your mouth to ask Fred why he done that, but you were stopped.

"Shh." Fred shushed you, walking over to you.

You didn't say anything, you just listened to him and shut your mouth. You sat up, your feet touching the floor and Fred's hands opening your legs slightly to stand in between them.

His hand half cupped your face, bending down to place a soft kiss on your lips.

"This is the first time we've been alone for a while, and one of the last times we will be for a while too." Fred said. "Let's make the most of it."
