To my darling daughter, Emily

Ever since you were a little girl, you have always asked me questions about a certain someone. It's taken a lot of time and thinking but I think you are old enough to know more about your mother, stuff that only me and your Uncle Remus know.

Your mother, Nicola Anderson, looks exactly like you and your siblings. I see so much of her in you three and I love it every day, you three are a complete reminder of her and it makes me so happy.

You always and still ask me what happened to her and how she died, I always said that I never found out. Well, that was a lie. I was the one that found your mother when she died, I chose not to tell you or anyone else because I don't want the same thing to happen to you or your siblings. I care about you three too much to go through that type of pain again.

I walked home after going to my friends, James and Lily Potter's, house by myself. Your mother was at home, looking after you, your brother and your sister with Uncle Remus' help. The twins were still very young and you were around two years old.

Remus had went into the kitchen to make some milk for the babies, he had Theo in one arm and Jamie-Leigh in the other. You were playing with some toys in another room I believe.

He told me that he heard your mother going into the bathroom, which was completely normal. Until he heard a loud bang, he thought it was you so he came running out with the twins. Luckily, you were okay.

He needed to check what it was, so he put a lot of blankets and pillows around the room so no one else would get hurt whilst he left for a minute. That's when I got home.

I needed the toilet when I went home, so I went straight to the bathroom, where your mother was.

When I got in there, I found her dead on the floor. There was a lot of pill containers around her dead body.

Your mother overdosed. That's how she died.

I'm so sorry that you had to find out this way, I wish that I had never left the house that day. Maybe she would still be alive if I stayed with her. It's your choice on who you decide to tell, just make sure that you trust them like your siblings.

I love you so much.

-Your father.

You broke down. You didn't know what to do and how to take this news. You felt so lucky that someone you trust, like Dominic, was with you when you found out.

Tears streamed down your face non stop, like you had unending tears to cry. Dominic grabbed you and held you in his arms, even he looked shocked but he wasn't crying.

He rocked you slowly as you cried violently into his chest, feeling like your whole world was ending somehow.

You don't remember your mother, you only ever heard stories of her but in the stories, your father made it out that she loved you so much and you most definitely loved her the same amount.

Your father always said that she would do anything for you, and to know that she took her own life with you in the room next to her, hurt so much.

You ended up crying yourself to sleep on Dominic's arms. He woke you up right before it was time to go to lunch, but you didn't want to get up.

You wanted to just lay in bed by yourself and do absolutely nothing.

Dominic respected that and went to lunch by himself, he offered to bring you some food but you refused.

You spent the rest of the day laying in bed, Anthony had come to see you because you hadn't been in any of your lessons.

"Get up." Anthony said right when he walked into your dorm, slamming the door open.

"No." You said and he walked over to you, grabbing your duvet and pulling it off of you.

"I said, get up. You've got to go dinner." He said and you stayed in the same spot. "Emily."

"I don't want to." You said and felt him sit down on your bed.

"Why not? Has something happened?" Ant asked you. "Is it Dominic? What did that fucker do now?"

"He didn't do anything. If anything, he helped me." You told him and sat up, that's when he saw the state you were in.

Your hair was messy from where you hadn't moved for most of the day, your eyes were bloodshot and puffy and you had tear stains all of your cheeks.

"Oh Em.. what happened? You can talk to me." He said and moved to sit closer to you, facing you properly and grabbed your hands.

"I don't want you tell you. I'm sorry, it's not that I don't trust you or anything." You said with some tears already in your eyes. "I just don't think I'm ready to talk about it."

A tear fell out of your eye and he wiped it away.

"It's okay. Take your time, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do." He reassured you. "I promise."

He spent a few minutes with you to help you recollect yourself, then you two decided to have dinner in the kitchen instead of the great hall. Nobody would be in the kitchen and you didn't really want anyone other than your closest friends and family to see you like that.

Anthony chose out your food for you because you couldn't decide what to have, from what you told him, but you didn't actually want to eat either way. He must have known so he watched you eat your food to make sure you actually ate.

Then he walked you back up to your dorm and made sure you were alright and ready to go to sleep before leaving to go to his own dorm.

That's when you feel asleep, thinking and dreaming of your parents. Specifically your mother, not your father.
