Chapter 7

"Draw: Aura Alleviate" Lawliet utters above me, before multiple tails of bright blue, bubbly water, wrap all around my body.

"Wh-What i-is this?!" I say shakingly as the cold-water spreads all over my bruised and scarred body, seeping into every nook and cranny, even...

"You feel it, don't you?"

"Feel wh-what, y-you ca-caressing and subjugating me wi-with your wa-water?!"

"Hehehe, sorry it's the most effective way to both spread the meow-dicine and heal your body at the same time. My Draw technique, Aura Alleviate, makes the Aether surrounding one's body mimic water, I then spread that Aether water all around the body, entering every wound and engulfing every injury. And finally-"

Before Lawliet can finish explaining her technique, large amounts of steam start shooting from my body.

"Welp, that's the final stage, the Aether Water begins to evaporate at a rapid rate, but in the same process of evaporation the Aether made Water molecules heal all of the wounds and injuries on the body until-"

The Steam comes to a stop.

"-there's nothing left."

I inspect my hot, moist body to find not a scar, flesh opening, not even so much as a bruise on my body.

"This is... amazing, to say the least."

"You really think so!?" Lawliet jolts closer above me ecstatically, face full of excitement. "You think it's a-meowzing, er, amazing!?

"Uhh y-yeah, it's pretty cool."

Lawliet lets out a deep sigh seemingly of relief.

"Whew, that's great to here, I didn't know how it would turn out I mean you were the first patient that I tested that out on, thank Charta it went according to plan."

"You mean you tested out something you've never done before, on me?! WHAT IF IT KILLED ME OR SOMETHING?!" I say as I jolt up from the platform I was lying on, to see Lawliet's full body.

She's shorter than me. Maybe 5 feet or 5'2 perhaps. Slim figure, I mean she is half cat. And she's wearing a bright lavender and gold dress, adorned with gold bracelets and necklaces. From the looks of it she's pretty wealthy, either that or she just had the biggest heist ever. She even has gold rings on her gray and black striped tail.

"Relaxxxx relaxxxxx, it wouldn't have done any harm... I don't think. Listen, you don't know hard it is to both pull of an Aether Mimic AND give it commands, that's some complicated crap man!"

"Right... and refresh my memory on whatever an Aether mimic is."

"Oh, that's right you don't use Aether like that, do you?"

"Well, I mean I do a li-"

"*MM MM* Ahem, allow me to educate you briefly." Lawliet loudly clears her throat, cutting me off.

"I know we call Aether the "Medium of all things" right? But it's much more than that, and it's far more complex than any other medium in the universe. Since Aether is pretty much the medium and channel for all things, kinetic energy, gravity, light, even the movement of water, it can even be made to also "mimic" in a sense, certain Aether connections."

"Following so far?"

"Uhhhhhh..." I pretend not to understand but I have somewhat of a grasp of what she's explaining. It's just like Blackjack using that Dreadful Overcast or whatever, he essentially made the Aether around us mimic smoke itself, I guess.
