As these things often seemed to go, the Aviemore deal seemed to rumble on forever and then suddenly there was a push to get it completed. Robyn was thirty-four weeks pregnant when Jeremy got the call from Richard Bittencourt to say they were all set for finalisation with Aviemore the following week. He called Robyn at work before making the travel arrangements just to double check she was still comfortable for him to go. Robyn smiled as she answered the phone, "Dan just told me it's all systems go for next week. It's fine Jeremy, go ahead. I'll call my mom now but she knows it could be anytime. We just need to book her the flight from Atlanta." He smiled walking along the corridor with his phone, "As long as you're okay. I want to go, but you and the baby are more important." Carly smiled listening to Robyn's side of the conversation, "Jeremy, I feel great. This baby's not coming anytime soon and my Mom will be here to help with Jack." He stopped outside of his patient's room, leaned on the wall and said softly, "Hey, I love you Robyn Matthews."
Carly glanced at Amanda and said, "So Jeremy's off to England with these guys then?" Robyn laughed, "Yeah, he really wants to do it but he's worried because we'd said he wouldn't go if I was past thirty-six weeks and I'll be thirty-five weeks." Carly chewed her lip, "You seem really relaxed this time 'round Robyn." She nodded, "Y'know I really am. I just have a hunch this baby is quite happy where he or she is, and won't come early." Amanda laughed and said, "Yeah well I hope you haven't jinxed yourself by saying that!" Robyn rolled her eyes, "It'll be fine. Right, I need to call my mom and let her know I need her to fly out at the weekend."
Jeremy pushed the deal to the back of his mind while he did his rounds. Before he grabbed lunch and headed to the OR for his afternoon list he dropped an E mail to Richard confirming he was happy to travel and would only need flights since he was staying with the others at Allie's. Back at the HRM offices Allie called The Royal School for Girls and arranged for Emmie and Rose to attend for three days, Tuesday to Thursday. When Dan and Allie had told them about going to the English school Rose was hugely excited, but disappointed to hear she wouldn't get a uniform. Emmie was a little nervous, so cuddling her in bed one night before she tucked her in Allie had reassured her she could stay with Margie if she didn't like it.
That night Daniel collected the girls and Allie called 'round to Susan and John's. John was on a late shift but Susan was delighted to have an unexpected visit. Making drinks while Allie sat on one of the stools at her breakfast bar and said, "I wanted to call in to let you know we're off to finalise the hospital deal in the UK next week." Susan smiled and nodded, "You guys seem to have been working on that for ages!" Allie laughed, "I know, Max keeps saying we're going to party to celebrate the end of this one because it's taken so long." Susan laughed, "Is Jeremy going with you then?" Allie nodded, "Yeah, Robyn says she's really calm about him going, her Mom's flying in on Saturday." Susan smiled, "If anything were to happen we can always take Jack for her." Allie reached for her hand, "I know you'll look out for her and we're all hoping to be back within the week." Susan squeezed her hand, "Good, I hate it when you're away. Anyway, I'm glad you've called in. Got something to tell you." Allie leaned forward conspiratorially, "Ooooo, sounds interesting! What?" Susan laughed, "Well, you know I've been looking for houses for Robyn and Jem?" Allie nodded and she continued, "Well nothing's really hit the mark so far. Great houses but not great for location, or great location but the house won't work. Anyway, I had an idea and put leaflets through every door of houses I think would work for them, asking the owners to call if they were thinking of selling, and guess what? The house two doors down from you replied to say they have just been relocated to Florida and they want to sell." Allie squealed with excitement, "Susan I love you, that would be so amazing. Have you told them yet?" Susan shook her head, "Only got the call late this afternoon as I was leaving the office. I'll call Robyn tomorrow and let her know. If we can get in early I think I can get them a good deal." Allie sighed happily, "I hope they get it. It'll be so nice for the children to grow up being able to play together on the beach, walk to each other's houses."
