Daniel glanced over at his wife, smiling at how she was radiating excitement as they drove away from the hospital. Allie was feeling better since she'd had an iron and vitamin infusion, and her mobility was starting to noticeably improve. They had dropped the girls off at school and pre-school, and Daniel had waited for her early morning session to finish. He pulled the car up outside the office and reached to squeeze her hand, "Ready?" She nodded, eyes shining, and he kissed her passionately. She gasped as they broke apart, and he grinned, "Sorry, I just had to Allie." She laughed as he got out of the car and came around to open the passenger door. Daniel clinked the fob to lock the car as Allie navigated the short distance to the entrance on her crutches. Eddie stood up in shock to see her and beamed, "Miss Allie! It's so good to see you." Daniel watched as Allie gave him a dazzling smile, "Hi Eddie, it's good to see you too. How are you?" Dan, put a steadying hand around her waist as Eddie said, "I'm just fine, but how the heck are you?" Allie glanced at her husband, "I'm good, hoping to get rid of these crutches soon. Dan's brought me for a visit, we're going to surprise everyone."

Daniel let go of her waist and said, "Eddie, would you mind parking my car downstairs while I take Allie up?" Eddie nodded, "Sure thing Mr Miller." Daniel winked and tossed him the keys, "Thanks. Come on Allie, let's get you up there." The lift doors opened, and despite the clients waiting for Gordon in reception, Everley squealed when she spotted Allie, and Pauline gasped in surprise. Daniel laughed and said, "Shuuuuush, we want to surprise the others." Pauline blew a kiss, and Everley came from behind the desk to embrace Allie. Daniel used the pass reader to open the door, and Allie hobbled through. He stood in front, and they didn't see anyone until they reached the paralegal area. Carly looked up and saw her. She shot off her chair and shouted Allie's name, making Liam and Amanda turn around to see what was happening. Carly had tears rolling down her cheeks as she came over to hug her younger colleague, and while Amanda excitedly embraced Allie, Liam threw an arm around Carly before taking his turn. Max came out of his office hearing the commotion and stopped dead when he saw her. He grinned and nodded to Daniel before walking over and folding her into his arms. He kissed her and whispered, "My girl, back where she belongs. Won't be long, and you'll be back for good." Max had kept his arm around her waist, and he turned to the others, "One of you get this girl a coffee. Bring it through to my office so I can sit her down." Daniel laughed and winked at Allie, "Coffee coming up."

As Allie walked carefully with Max to his office, Chris appeared, having been to court and dropped his bag in shock, breaking out into a smile, "Oh my God Allie!" She laughed, the sound making Max's heart swell, and he said, "Grab a drink with the others Chris and come through to my office." He picked up his bag and dropped a kiss on her cheek. Max turned her into his office, took the crutches, and eased her into a chair, tilting her chin and asking, "Are you okay?" She beamed, "I'm good Maxy. I feel so much better than even a week ago. Dan and I wanted to surprise you." She laughed softly, "And them." He crouched down and wrapped his arms around her, "Well you did. Best day in the office all year." Daniel appeared with two mugs and gave them one each locking eyes with Allie before dropping a kiss on her lips. Liam also had two mugs and passed one to Daniel, "Don't let Wendy catch you doing that in work you two." Daniel grinned, and Allie shrugged, "Not officially in work Liam, just a visitor, can get away with all sorts."

Chris rolled his chair over while Liam and the others teased Daniel. Allie took his hand and smiled as he said, "How long you staying?" She smiled, "Tom's coming to collect me. He's not working today and he wants to talk wedding." Chris laughed, and she continued, "Robyn's meeting Mel at their baby massage class thing, and they're both coming over to join us for lunch before Tom takes me for my second physical therapy session." Chris nodded, "Jess and I took the baby for a walk last weekend so she could catch up on some sleep. He's so cute. She's going back to work next week." Allie nodded, "Yeah, Robyn said. It's been lovely having all this time with the babies, but now everyone's making plans to go back to work, I just want to come back, too, you know." Chris smiled and rubbed her back, and Max reached for her hand, listening in, "Hey special girl, this place is not the same without you, but you'll get there."
