Valon's POV
Once we made it back to Las Fort, I pulled over to the side of Mary's Diner. Damn I haven't been here in forever. I thought to myself and made a mental note to come visit Mary's before I left. I got out of the car and leaned against the door.
"I need you to find someone for me," I said into the phone after dialing Matteo.
"Of course, boss."
"Don't call me that. You know damn well I'm not your boss."
"Yes, of course. It's just that your father said y-"
"I don't give a f*ck what he said or anything that has to do with him. Do your f*cking job and get me the number."
"My apologies, Sir. Who exactly am I looking for?"
"Hunter Green."
"Nineteen, Daughter of Mary and Mathew Gre-"
"I just need her number," I sighed.
"Attends University of East Cliff, St-" He continued.
"D*mmit Mateo! I just need her fucking number!"
"Sorry Bo-" I hung up the phone, got back in the car, and slammed the door out of irritation.
I noticed some shuffling out the corner of my eye. The girl in my passenger seat, "May" I think her name was, shuffled in her sleep. Her brown curls laid across her face as if it were an accessory. No matter how many times she moved her hair away from her face it always found its way back.
"Please don't wake up," She drove me crazy on the way here, Matteo can't do the simplest f*cking thing, I can't take much more.
A few minutes later, my phone signaled, letting me know I had a message. I opened Matteos messages to see that he had sent Hunter's number.
Finally.
"I need you to send me May's address." I sent a text to Hunter.
"Who is this, and why do you need May's address?"
"That's not important, and I need to take her home."
"Why don't you just ask her yourself? She's probably not even with you....creep."
"I can't. She's knocked out," Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN KNOCKED OUT?!? WTF DID YOU DO?!" She replied not even a second later.
"I didn't do shit and I'm sure she'll tell you later. What's her fucking address?" I replied, sighing heavily.
"How do I know she's actually with you?" She asked.
I thought for a second before snapping a photo of May and sent it to Hunter. I looked back from the photo and to the girl in my seat, she looked so comfortable, something told me she wasn't usually this way around strangers.
What were you running from?
I dragged my eyes away from her peaceful image when my phone went off again.
"5678 Rosewood Ave, please get her home safe....."
I tossed my phone into the cup holder and glanced over to May again before turning on the engine. She had crossed her arms tightly over her chest.
She's probably cold.
What do you care, I asked myself and proceeded to turn on the engine.
