Felix sat picking at his food, he had barely eaten, and his mother had taken notice. "Felix?" she asked. "Why haven't you eaten? You've barely touched your Chow Mein or your rice cakes, and those are your favorite!"

Felix sighed before looking away, "It's nothing" he said, "I'm just not that hungry I guess. I ate at school, maybe that's why" he mumbled.

"Oh please! It is definitely not, nothing, ever since you came home you've been in a mood. This whole week you've been acting funny matter of fact" she added, "You thought I wouldn't notice?"

Felix shrugged in response, "I'm fine, mom, really. It's just school's been stressing me out, that's all". His mom looked unconvinced, but alas she relented, "Okay, if you say so. But just know you can talk to me, okay? I won't judge you, and I'm here for you. I love you, always" she told him lovingly.

"I know, I love you too". Felix thought about just going to bed, but his mother had always been a great source of advice. And she had never judged him before when he had confessed to doing arguably worse things. Besides, it'd be nice to get this off his chest.

"It's just, me and Changbin got into an argument, a big one". His mom frowned, "Oh sweetie, come, sit". She led him over to the living room couch, they sat down, and she motioned for him to continue

"I...I had this crush on a boy. His name is Hyunjin and he's super sweet. And I found out he liked someone else.", he felt a comforting hand rubbing his back. "That someone else was a boy named Seungmin. He's a mutual friend of ours, and I introduced him to Changbin a few weeks back.", Felix could feel himself getting emotional

"Changbin and him have been spending a lot of time with each other.." he trailed off, trying to hold himself together, "And I just felt replaced...and then I found out MY crush liked him and"

Tears began streaming down his face, "I went to Changbins house, to talk about it right after I found out. And I blew up at him, and then I saw Seungmin was there, and I just went off on them and I stormed out"

He was full-blown crying at this point, choking back sobs as he tried to continue, "I just felt like it was unfair, but Changbin told me some things that made me realize I was a bad friend to him too. And now I feel like shit for yelling at him and Seungmin. I blamed him for everything because I was upset. I just feel like everything's falling apart!" Felix sobbed

After he had finished, Felix just broke down. He felt so relieved to finally have gotten this off his chest, and telling someone really made him feel better. But also, finally saying everything out loud just overrode him emotionally.

"Oh sweetie, it's okay. Come here", Felix laid his head on his mother's shoulder, and she pulled him close. He just let everything out as his mother rubbed his back gently. "Everything is going to be okay. I hope you listen to Changbin and Seungmins side", Felix nodded as she continued.

"I'm not saying you're in the wrong. But you have to take into account how they felt as well. I don't know exactly how the argument went down, but it sounds like you both said some hurtful things to each other. The mature thing would be to accept how you both hurt each other and apologize. Hopefully, you can improve your friendship with him.

"And apologize to Seungmin, it wasn't right to blame him. He didn't know how you felt", Felix finally finished crying. He nodded, taking in his mother's advice, before smiling. "You really do give the best advice"

His mother smiled, "I try my best"
