It's 2033, Changbin and Felix graduated some years ago. They had decided to move to the United States, along with Seungmin and Changbin, due to issues regarding gay marriage. After the move, Changbin decided to take a different career path and went on to become a tattoo artist, working at a local shop called the Ink Parlor that wasn't too far from where they lived. Changbin trained for a few years to perfect his craft, he even gave himself some tattoos that he was satisfied with.
So good in fact that Hyunjin let him tattoo a little rose on his arm that he still cherishes to this day. While Changbin loved his newfound love for art. He especially loved talking to the diverse set of customers they received each day.
Felix meanwhile had continued to pursue culinarily and was making his way up the ladder in the professional cooking world, recently being promoted to Sous Chef at a restaurant called the Steakhouse. It was extremely stressful at times, but his passion for cooking and Changbins support kept him going. He became close with his fellow staff and saw them as family
Changbin just got done with his last client of the day, he tattooed a rainbow skull on a guy's bicep. He cleaned up his area and threw away all the used needles. He suddenly got a text from Felix telling him that the kids had just gotten off the bus.
5 years after they graduated, and got a house, and good-paying jobs, Felix had expressed thoughts of having a family with Changbin. It took some time but they worked to get there, going through the options. They eventually adopted their two children, Seo Soomin and Cha Minjun.
They ran into the house hugging their dad, "dad im hungry!" Soomin pouted, Felix chuckled and pulled some food out, "I have a new dish I want to introduce to my boss to see if I can get it on the menu, would you like to try some?" Felix smiled showing them the food
Both kids nodded rapidly, Felix made them a plate and watched closely at their reactions, both of their eyes lit up tasting the food, and scoffed it all down quickly, "whoa slow down please don't choke!" Felix giggled
"It's good dad! Delicious!" Soomin smiled, resembling a chipmunk as he still had food stuffed in his cheeks. "Yeah, you should show your boss I hope he agrees to put it on the menu!" Minjun smiled whipping her face
Changbin walked in smelling food, guessing his husband cooked again, but didn't complain. He could never complain, he genuinely couldn't be happier with the family he has. Felix looked at him and his face lit up and he donned a huge smile, "Changbin! Come here!" Felix shouts from across the room
Changbin obliged, wrapping his arms around him, Felix pulled him into a sweet kiss, their children cringing in front of them, Changbin pulled away and stuck his tongue out to his kids, "how was your guy's day?" Changbin asked his kids to take his jacket off.
"Tiring! I had a test today! I got a B" Minjun pouted, Changbin frowns, "why are you pouting? That's good! You just need to review more and break it down to where you'll get it. Plus you're in 4th grade, tests and grades won't matter until 8th grade" Changbin shrugged Felix looked surprised
"What American schools are different from Korean schools! As far as I know, they don't look too much into grades while in elementary school mostly behavioral stuff, and they're good kids, all I'm saying is, don't get too stressed about your grades your 10!" Changbin smiled
Felix smiled at his husband and gave him a plate of the dish he just served his kids, Changbin ate it and smiled leaning into Felix, "I love you so much!" Changbin hugged him, "I'm guessing you enjoy the food" Felix giggled, "I do but I would still love you just as much if you didn't make this" Changbin smiled pecking him on the lips
"Stop being lovey-dovey!" Soomin cringed covering his eyes
They laughed, shaking their heads, and suddenly they heard a knock on the door, "come in!" Felix yells, Hyunjin and Seungmin walk in, hands linked together, "There's the newly engaged couple!!!" Changbin chuckles
Seungmin rolled his eyes, Hyunjin, on the other hand, loved it, the day he said yes he bragged about it for a whole month, Seungmin wants to wait until they're more financially stable to get officially married, it's ok Hyunjin doesn't mind waiting for his true love.
"Wanna try my new dish while trying to get my boss to approve?" Felix and waving them over to him
"Hey, uncle Jin! Can we see the rose papa did on you?" Soomin asked, jumping up and down Hyunjin smiled and rolled up his sleeve, they both wooed looking at it.
"Can I touch it?" Minjun asked kindly Hyunjin nodded with a small smile
"Papa! Can we see some of your tattoo art?" Soomin asked, hugging Changbin. He pulled out his phone and showed him the rainbow skull he just did, "wow!" He smiled, "yeah just wait until it fully heals!" Changbin smiled
The rest of the day was just them hanging out and having a good time. It's crazy though, how a one-sided love that went on for so long and at times seemed pointless, can flourish into true love. Something whole and comfortable. If you would have told 20-year-old Changbin and Felix they'd fall in love, move to America and get married, and have kids, they would have looked at you like you were insane.
Same if you told Seungmin his lover was like nothing his parents want him to be with and they ACCEPT him he would look at you stupid as well
But in the end, everyone is more than happy and wouldn't want to have it any other way.
