Seungmin lays in his bed staring into space, he felt numb. Ever since the argument, Seungmin had been mindful of Felix's feelings and had been ignoring Hyunjin ever since. He knew it wasn't right to do, and there were probably better ways to go about this, but he didn't want to hurt Felix more than he already had.
His phone buzzed for about the thousandth time, Seungmin rolled over to look at the messages as they flooded his phone.
Hyunjin: I'm sorry for whatever I did, please talk to me
Hyunjin: Please call me, I just wanna talk
Hyunjin: You haven't talked to me at school or called me! Just tell me what I did wrong plz
Hyunjin: I don't want our friendship to end like this, I don't know what I did but I'm sorry. I see you need space, so talk to me whenever you're ready💖 Please don't give up on us
That last message sent a pang to Seungmnins heart. His heart ached, and he felt his stomach grumble again. He weakly got out of bed and then went to the kitchen to make a small bowl of oatmeal. The whole house was silent. He sat down and just stared at the oatmeal zoning out.
He snapped out of it and was about to take a bite, suddenly his front down slammed open startling Seungmin he grabbed a kitchen knife out of reflex taking both Felix and Changbin by surprise.
Seungmin looked at who was in his house and let out a breath of relief and put the knife down, "What the fuck is wrong with you guys you don't just burst into someone's house like that!" Seungmin yelled
"Why wasn't the door locked? That's dangerous!" Changbin lectured and pointed at the door
"What are you guys doing here?" Seungmin asked
"I wanted to talk to you, I wanted to apologize to you so I'm sorry, I'm sorry for the things I've said it's not your fault that Hyunjin liked you instead of me you amazing, and you make him very happy and according to Changbin he makes you just as happy, please don't ignore him he doesn't deserve that at all, you both deserve to be happy!" Felix finished
"I accept your apology, I get it you were overwhelmed and upset, I didn't take anything you said to me to heart" Seungmin smiled
Felix held his arms out with a smile asking for a hug Seungmin walked over to him and wrapped his arms around Felix. The two embraced for a while before pulling apart, "I think we need to come clean to Hyunjin, he deserves to know the truth" Felix said.
Seungmin nodded, "Yeah, I feel awful for all of this. Is he home?"
"Should be, you wanna go over?" Felix said
"Yeah, it's better to tell him in person, he deserves that" Seungmin nodded, "Can you drive us??"
Changbin rolled his eyes, "Ugh, what am I a taxi driver?" he said playfully. The other two laughed, "C'mon"
Seungmin grabbed his phone and clicked on Hyunjin's contact, his hands were shaking but he calmed his nerves. "Meet me at the park, I'll explain everything then, promise and I'm sorry💖"
He sent the text and instantly got a reply
Hyunjin: Okay, omw
Seungmin climbed into the backseat. He tapped on Changbin's shoulder, "Change of plans, can we go to the park?"
"Okay then, park it is"
During the drive Seungmin could feel his nerves rising even more, What if Hyunjin was upset at him?, rightfully so of course, but Seungmin didn't know what he would do. He had felt terrible ignoring Hyunjin, and he had every right to be upset at him for that. After all, that wasn't the smartest or most maturest way to go about things.
Felix seemed to sense Seungmin's discomfort, "Hey, everything's going to be fine. Just be honest with him. And this is all my fault, I'm the one who made you feel like you needed to hide your feelings for my sake" Felix's eyes drifted down, guilt washing over him in droves.
"Just tell him the truth, he'll understand.". Seungmin nodded before attempting to comfort Felix, "Hey, you were emotional and upset, Hyunjin was your crush after all. I took it on myself to ignore Hyunjin. So it's my fault too"
The car suddenly stopped, "Alright, we're here!" Changbin announced.
Seungmin took a deep breath as they stepped out of the car, Felix put his hand on his shoulder, "Alright. I think I need to do this alone guys" Seungmin told the other two, feeling his nerves rising once more
They nodded in understanding, "You got this man. Hyunjin will understand" Changbin told him. Felix walked up to him and placed his hand on his shoulder, "Remember, just be honest".
Seungmin nodded and headed into the park, Changbin threw a double thumbs up making him smile. Just be honest, tell the truth, the whole truth, Hyunjin deserves this.
He saw Hyunjin sitting on the bench looking waiting. Seungmin took a deep breath before approaching him.
"Hyunjin?"
Hyunjin turned around, slightly startled, "Seungmin..hey" he replied. The two just stared at each other for a bit, before Seungmin spoke again.
"I know I've been ignoring you for the past few weeks, and I feel awful. And there is a reason, but I've put off on telling you until now because I didn't want to hurt the others involved" he began
Hyunjin's eyes widened, "Others? What happened?"
Seungmin took another deep breath before replying, "I think it's time you know the truth"
