Felix sat on his couch at his apartment, idly scrolling through his phone. Felix smiled as he looked through all the photos of him and Changbin, reminiscing about all the memories they had created together. He finally scrolled to the top of the photo album, the last picture of them being taken just yesterday, they were underneath a tree in the park and Felix was resting his head in Changbin's lap.

He remembered Changbin swatting at the phone as he tried to take the picture, claiming it was a "private moment", in the photo his hand was covering his eyes as he pretended to not want to be in it, though the giant smile on his face showed otherwise. Felix felt as if he was going to explode with happiness, he couldn't imagine anything better than being with Changbin.

Though some might say it was too early, Felix genuinely felt like he was going to spend the rest of his life with Changbin. He could see them buying a house together, going out, and getting married. The last thought made him light up, Felix could see it now. He couldn't wait until the day one of them would propose, how Changbin would look standing at the altar, exchanging vows, and placing those two tiny rings full of so much meaning and love on each other's hands, sealing their love.

He wished he could do it now, buuut maybe that was taking things too fast. As Felix scrolled through Pinterest, looking through various mood boards, he suddenly remembered searching substitutes for wedding rings a few days ago, and he was starting to think phones did remember everything you searched because low and behold pictures of promise rings appeared on his feed.

Felix's eyes lit up and he went to grab his shoes. A local store in his area had a jewelry aisle and he was sure they'd have promise rings or some variant there. He donned a megawatt smile as he grabbed his phone and raced out the door, Changbin is going to love this!

Changbin was in the kitchen washing up after finishing dinner. He had invited Felix over earlier for dinner again, and his boyfriend told him he had a surprise for him. My boyfriend, Changbin thought, he's my boyfriend now.

Though it had been a while now since they became official Changbin still found himself amazed at the fact he was dating Felix now. It all felt a bit surreal still, and he feared one day he might just wake up and find that it had all just been a dream. But every time he hugged, cuddled, or kissed Felix, he was reminded that this was very much real.

He still lit up with joy whenever he thought back to the night Felix had confessed, releasing years of pent-up feelings. He was so passionate, and it still made Changbin's heart flutter. Changbin couldn't imagine a better partner than Felix, and he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with the boy he loved so dearly.

The plates clattered as they were set on the table, Changbin smiled proudly as he examined the meal he had prepared. He had made one of Felix's favorite dishes, jjajangmyeon, a delicious noodle dish with plenty of vegetables, diced pork, and topped with a thick Chun Jang sauce. He knew Felix would love it!

As if on cue Changbin heard a knock on his front door. Changbin placed a cover over the plates and ran to the door. He didn't need to check who it was, as Felix knocked in a very specific way that let Changbin know it was him. He had thought it was silly when Felix suggested coming up with "special knocks" for each other, but now he found it endearing.

Changbin opened the door with a smile, "Good evening sir, right this way! We have a seat reserved just for you", Changbin joked as he held the door open for Felix. The other boy laughed as he entered, a bag in his hand"So polite! I'll be sure to give this restaurant 5 stars!"

The two laughed together as Felix took his seat, "Ohh, smells good, and a covering? Wonder what it is. Probably something good!" Felix smiled. Changbin giggled, "I'm sure you'll love it, buuut before we eat, what's this surprise supposed to be? Is it in there?" Changbin asked pointing to the bag

Felix laughed, "Dinner first! Gosh you're so impatient". Changbin rolled his eyes playfully before laughing, "Alright alright. Now for the food. On the menu tonight is one of your favorite dishes, made by world-class chef Changbin, jjajangmyeon!"

Changbin lifted the covering off the plate and Felix's eyes brightened, "Now how'd you know?" he responded playfully. "Well you only eat them every other week", Changbin shot back. Felix chuckled, "Fair enough! Thank you so much! I'm sure it tastes delicious"

"Well, why don't you see, let's eat!" Changbin said as he sat down and removed the covering from his plate. Felix took his first bite and hummed at the taste, "Perfect! You're becoming a better cook every day" Felix complimented.

"Only the best for you", Changbin replied. The two ate and talked about everything and nothing, work, school, family, books, movies, and just about everything else. Changbin loved listening to Felix talk, he was always passionate about certain topics, and Changbin loved hearing his opinions.

Felix's fork clanged as it hit the plate while Changbin slurped up the last of his noodles. "Delicious! I'd love it if you cooked this more often" Felix said. Changbin wiped his mouth, "I'll keep that in mind. Now time for the surprise!"  he said.

Across the table, Felix playfully sighed, "Alright, alright hold on". He reached under the table and picked up the bag he had set down earlier. He pulled out a small box from the bag before tossing it to the side. Felix then stood up and walked over to Changbin.

Changbin laughed as Felix got down on one knee and held out the box, "Changbin!" he started dramatically, "I've loved you ever since I laid eyes on you! You're the most beautiful person in the world! And I wouldn't want to be with anyone else!" he started.

"Oh, Felix! So romantic!" Changbin responded playfully, going along with it. "I've decided I want no one else but you ever! And I want to spend my life with you! So with this ring, I ask you, Changbin, will you marry me?". Changbin cupped his hands over his mouth jokingly, "Oh my goodness, yes Felix I will!" he shouted.

The two laughed as Felix slipped the promise ring on his finger before standing up. Changbin giggled, "So corny," he said before taking the box out of Felix's hand and pulling out the other ring.

Changbin took Felix's hand and got down on his knee, "My turn!". Felix smiled as Changbin de launched into his dramatic proposal, "Felix! You beautiful specimen! You majestic stallion! I've always known you were the one for me! And now I want to seal our love with this ring! So Felix, will you marry me?". Felix pretended to swoon, "Of course Changbin!". With that Changbin put the ring onto his finger, and the two broke out into a fit of giggles once more as he stood up.

"Alright alright, so they're not engagement rings of course, but they're promise rings. Think of it as a substitute for the real thing, it represents the promise of our life and future together y'know?" Felix explained. Changbin wrapped his arms around him and held him lovingly, "Right, and there's no one I'd rather share my future with than you". Felix giggled as he was pulled in for a kiss.

The two embraced for a while, just enjoying being in each other's presence. As they hugged, the two imagined their future together, and how great it would be.
