The loud footsteps thumping up the stairs signified a drunk and terrifying man I couldn't stand to make the slightest eye contact with anymore. I hold my breathe as the footsteps cease for a few moments. I squeeze my eyes shut as my bedroom door opens and closes quietly. I cover my head with my blanket and scrunch my legs closer to my overly sore body. Trying not to make a single movement was difficult only because my body was shaking like a chihuahua. I peek through the blanket trying to adjust my eyes in the abyss darkness of my bedroom. A figure walks slowly towards my bed slightly stumbling causing tears to slowly slide from my eyes to my right ear and over the bridge of my sloping nose. Nausea inflames my stomach making it hard to swallow the knot in my throat. Pure fear laces through my veins and I could swear he could smell it like a hound dog ready to go hunting. My hands sweat and tremble of what might occur and the knowledge of no one saving me only makes the tears flow harder quickly soaking my pillow.
"You had one simple task today." The man says huskily, slurring his words. The buckle on his belt stirs and I know he's taking it off and what's about to occur. "Did you forget I asked you to clean the house? Since your mother left and I work all day you think you'd be kind enough to keep this place looking nice?" He grumbles hoarsely stepping closer to me. I don't answer. No explanation will ever satisfy this horrible man.
"I know you're awake, Wylie." He burbs halfway through saying my name. He snaps the belt and I tense my body for what's to come.
"Ready to receive your punishment?" He chuckles darkly.
Without speaking another word the belt thrashes down on the blanket. Even with this thick shield the blow stings my hip sure to leave a red welt. I silently wonder why he can hit so hard while being so intoxicated and quickly push that thought out of my head. Another is delivered to my shoulder, throbbing immediately. He recoils sending three more quick hard swings on my legs. He pauses, thinking he's done I relax but soon discover he's just began. The blanket rips from my body leaving me unguarded and trembling in absolute fear.
"Please daddy." I beg through a quivering chin. "Please."
"Oh Wylie." I can't see him but I know he's smiling with that devilish grin I wish I had never been introduced to. "That begging shit might have worked on your stupid cheating mother but not on your old man."
The belt relentlessly and mercilessly comes in hard contact with my body. Every inch he could possibly hit. It was like a video game to him. See how loud you can make your victim scream. I cry out and scream until my voice becomes hoarse. Until my screams can no longer be projected through my sobs. My skin burns with every hit. The last hit is delivered to my face leaving my cheek the sorest it's been in a long while.
"I didn't want to punish you." He sits on the edge of my bed and sighs loudly as if he didn't have any other choice but to hit me. "This house works with order. Without it, we have nothing. You know the rules. By now, after being punished so many times, I figured you knew that." The alcohol could be smelled a mile away from his lips making my stomach churn with each of his vile words. "Get some sleep. If you go out tomorrow you better cover up your bruises." He warns before stumbling out of the room and slamming the door behind him.
I want to scream or call for help but I don't. That'd only make matters worse. I knew that wasn't a situation I wanted to be in. He was a well respected salesmen that people loved. No one would believe a seventeen year old drop out. So I wrap the blanket that's hanging halfway off my bed and drape it around my twitching body. Ignoring the pain, I doze off completely at a miss for why my father is the way that he is. Or what made him become the monster he is today.•••••
Hiyyaa😋
So I started this maybe a month ago in my notes and didn't think id get very far with it. Long story short, it's slowly becoming a lil somethin somethin. My other story (saving each other) was just not as good as I thought it would be also I have terrible writers block on that story so I'm putting it on hold for a while until the juices start flowin.
Also a warning, this story is sad. Most of what I write is. I don't know it's just the way I write. I love sad sappy romantic books and what not so that pretty much what this is.
I hope you do enjoy and I hope I don't disappoint. Leave comments because they are most definitely welcome at all times.
Ps, stay weird and beautiful😘
