I look at the girl laying in my arms sleeping peacefully. Imagining my life in two weeks wasn't an easy thing for me to do. As a band, we were going to be doing god knows what for two years. Most would be happy. Excited. Even hysterical but none of us were. The news was completely unexpected and when John had spoken those words we all were left spell bound. Yeah, we were glad we have a chance of being big but it was hard thinking about what we'd be leaving behind. Calum would have to quit soccer which was eating him alive just thinking about it. Ashton would have to quit his job and be screwed if this didn't work out. Michaels most torn up about not being able to sleep all day and play video games all night.
As for me, I'd be leaving Wylie behind. The girl I had fallen for in a matter of days and gave my everything to her just last night. The girl I caused to have so many smiles and laughs. What if something were to happen? Her breakdown? I wouldn't know what to do to myself if I couldn't be there for her when se needed me to. Yeah, we could talk on the phone and text or skype but physically, it wasn't enough for either of us. These thoughts weren't the best thing to wake up to but watching her in my arms soothed me. Calmed me down like she was a drug running through my veins.
The boys had wondered in her a few hours ago because people had taken over their rooms like every time we had a party. Calum was sprawled out across the floor shirtless. Michael was completely covered with a blanket and Ashton was cuddling with a girl I had never met. These were only few of the moments id miss the most.
I wonder down stairs making sure not to stir Wylie as I got up. A few strangers cover the couch an floor and one was even passed out on the dining room table. Some were sneaking out of the front door giving me a thumbs up or high five. It takes twenty minutes but I successfully wake every sleeping body and they leave without a fight. I begin to make breakfast plugging my phone into the black phone dock on the kitchen counter and softly hum to Green Day.
"Good morning." I hear from behind me.
Wylie stands a few feet behind me in only one of my shorts. God, I'd kill to wake up like this every morning of every day for years upon years. Her hairs tangled and messy. Bruises I had given her last night stand out on her neck. I smile at her endearingly.
"Good morning beautiful." I reply stirring the eggs I was turning into scrambled eggs.
"Thank you." She says softly coming up behind me and wrapping her arms around my waist and laying her head on my back. "For last night."
"My pleasure." I chuckle. "So your not mad I didn't tell you?"
"I was." She giggles. "I was pissed but I'm okay now. I'm happy for you guys. I really am."
"I just don't want to leave you." I breathe picking up the pan with her still attached to me and sliding the eggs on a plastic blue plate.
"I'm not gonna prevent you from doing anything. Who knows? Maybe you'll end up back here for a concert and I can come."
I pick up the plate walking towards the table. Wylie let's go and we sit across from each other with two forks digging into the plate. "I mean, I can get you in for free." I smile shoveling eggs into my mouth.
"That'd be nice." She giggles taking a big bite. "I really am happy though. You guys are doing something you love and I'm proud." She expresses with a full mouth.
"I love you." I blurt out not knowing if she had remembered us saying it to one another.
She smiles softly. "I love you."
"I'm never gonna get tired of hearing that." I tell her.
The day trails along quickly. We watch movies and feed ourselves until it feels like we'll explode. Wylie drags me up the stairs after midnight. The night involves being in each other's arms moaning out one another's names until were exhausted. Michael had made it clear we were too loud and gross but we didn't care at all. We fall asleep drowning out the boys battling for first place during their FIFA tournament.
*four days later*
"Thank you for inviting me." Wylie says taking my hand as we drive.
"Thank you for coming." I bring her small hand up to my mouth kissing it.
"So, what are we?" She asks leaning her head on the seat looking at me.
"I want to ask you in a special way. I have something planned tonight." I tell her smiling straight ahead.
"Oh really now? And what might you have planned?" She giggles squeezing my hand.
"You'll see." I bite my lip.
