I have never been a big drinker. Only have gotten drunk maybe three times. I see what it did to my father and swore I wouldn't be like that. So the probability of me drinking is slim to none. The music blares out of speakers set up all around the gigantic house. Being my first party, I didn't know what to expect. Luke keeps his arm tightly around my waist as he walks us through the sea of people. People grind on each other and others eat each other's faces off on the stair case or where ever they could. I keep my head low trying not to make eye contact with people I didn't know. In silence, all five of us make it to the kitchen and immediately a tall brown haired guy jumps on Ashton and hugs him.
"Hey man!" The brown head says loudly.
"Wylie." Ashton points to me. "This is Ryan, Ryan this is Wylie."
"Nice to meet you." He holds out his hand for me to take and I do only for him to bring it up to his mouth and peck the top of my hand. I pull away and look down feeling my cheeks begin to burn.
"You too." I say quietly.
"Let me get you a drink." Ryan says walking over to the fridge.
"I'm okay." I tell him with a smile and I feel Luke's arm tighten around me.
"Are you sure?" Be pulls out two brown bottles from a box on the bottom shelf. "Live a little." He tries handing it to me but Ashton takes it.
"She doesn't drink." Ashton pops the top on it and smells it before taking a swig of it. "But I do." Ashton then screeches taking another drink from the bottle.
Before I know it, Luke lifts me up and sets me gently on the kitchen island with out any effort. He stands in front of my legs placing the palm of his hands on my lower thighs. Without much thought, I wrap my legs around him locking my ankles behind him. Ryan stares at us making me feel a little awkward but finally speaks.
"You look familiar." He says taking a drink of his beer. "Where do I know you from?" He asks leaning his back against the island a few feet from us. The other boys wave and go their separate ways leaving us alone.
"Well, I dropped out my sophomore year. We would have graduated together." I tell him wrapping my arms loosely around Luke's neck.
"You were in choir." Ryan smiles. "God, it was gonna bug me all night if I didn't figure it out." He shakes his head smiling. "So uh are you two a thing?" He asks bluntly as if it weren't obvious.
"Yeah." Luke says with an attitude. I glare at Luke not knowing what his deal was.
"Can I steal her for one dance?" Ryan questions smiling widely at Luke.
"I don't.." I cut luke off.
"One dance won't hurt." I smile remembering how when we wee little luke hated dancing. "You don't like to dance anyway." I shrug slipping off of the counter.
Luke doesn't say anything but gets a beer out of the fridge. Ryan thanks luke but Luke rolls his eyes. I dismiss the negative vibes from him and follow Ryan out into the living room or as he calls it the dance floor. One dance wouldn't hurt anything nor did it mean anything. An r&b slow song whistles through the speakers and Ryan dances awkwardly in front of me. I dance along not trying to make a lot of physical contact with this guy. Luke was already in a bad mood and there was no way I was going to make it worse.
"Hey, Abby!" Ryan yells. "Bring us two of your bombs!" He yells at a tall blonde who nods agreeing and scurries off to the kitchen.
Two minutes later she comes back with tall glasses filled with a light blue liquid. She hands on to me and one to Ryan.
"Just chug and don't even think about it!" Ryan yells smiling as he begins to chug his drunk.
I smell the liquid to determine it was fruity but it smells strongly of vodka. I push all my reasonable thoughts to the back of my head and chug the blue substance. After I finish the blonde walks back over and takes our glasses with a smile on her face. My head starts to quickly buzz and I knew I shouldn't have drank. Without warning, Ryan grabs my hips roughly and pulls my back into him. Instantly I search for Luke but only to have rage filling my veins as a girl attacks his lips and he doesn't pull away. I dance on Ryan until my feet hurt and until the alcohol takes it's full effect on me and I knew something was wrong with the drink.
"What was in that drink?" I ask breathlessly leaning my head on this strangers shoulder.
"Fruit punch. Vodka and ecstasy." He giggles loudly obviously drunk.
"I have to..." I'm cut off by him pulling me behind him.
I'm so out of it, he carries me up the stairs and into a pitched black room. He slams a door behind us and doesn't turn on a light. I feel for the door and my hand wraps around the handle. Effortlessly he pushes me back making me fall to my butt.
"Let me out!" I slur trying to sound intimidating.
"No. Since I seen you walking down the halls in seventh grade I've been thinking about what it's be like to be inside of you." He chuckles darkly walking towards me. His footsteps heavy and slow.
"Ryan please, I want to leave." Tears begin to slip down my hot cheeks and my heart pounds faster and faster.
He pulls my arms throwing me on a bed I didn't know was there. "Can't do that pretty girl. You should like it rough." He messes with his belt buckle and I hear the belt hit the ground. "Because your daddy beats you so much."
"You don't know anything!" I scream loudly trying to crawl away from him but I get caught in the sheets. His hands clench tightly around my ankles pulling me harshly back towards him.
"I know enough." He laughs lowly. Before I could block my face his fist comes in contact with my jaw making my sobs louder. "I want to hear the pretty voice of yours scream my name."
He rips his shirt off pulling mind hard enough to rip it off my body. One d his hands hold mine above my head making it impossible for me to move them. I kick and scream but nothing helps me enough to get away. He pulls my sweat pants off not even bothering taking them completely off. His wet lips lean in marking m skin with them. His saliva stay coldly on my skin making me want to throw up.
"Luke! Luke!" I scream over and over again and have a small amount of hope that he can hear me.
"Oh baby." Ryan coos lifting his head up hovering dangerously close to my face. "That's not my name and you don't have a boyfriend right now." Without thinking, I spit on him with as much spit that I could collect in my mouth.
"You fucking bitch!" He yells before his fist strikes me in the throat.
He sits up grabbing his shirt to wipe his face. Hardly breathing, I hurry off of the bed not even bothering grabbing my clothes and running out of the bedroom only in my thong and bra. Ignoring questioning eyes and applauds, I run out of the house and keep running. Tears blur my vision but I know my way home. Thirty minutes and I'll be in my shower erasing that assholes germs from my body. Well, at least trying to. I keep running until I get to my rode. The breeze seems to only make me hotter and I stumble onto our high grass. I fall to my knees in an attempt to catch my breathe. Breathlessly I stumble to my feet walking slowly up to my front door and opening it. I slam it shut behind me and throw my body on the couch. I pass out instantly agreeing with myself to never get involved with Luke or the other guys and just keep to myself.
