Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes, Turn and Face the Strange.

The next morning Izuku woke up naked in his sleeping back he had put into the observation room before bringing Katsuki there. It was near the pool the blonde was in. When he sat up he looked around to see it was still dim in the room, but the light from the windows lightening it a little. Izuku rubbed an eye with a yawn as memories of last night hit him like a truck at full speed. He gasped and quickly looked down at himself seeing he wasn't wearing a shirt then he looked inside the sleeping bag to see he still had legs.

It didn't work? Why didn't it work? Maybe Katsuki knew why. Izuku then looked at the wading pool to see the blonde sleeping on the bottom. He felt bad since he was just lying on the concrete bottom with not sponge or coral for cushion. He hoped Katsuki wouldn't be too mad about it. Izuku got out of his sleeping bag a little shy to be completely naked even though he and the blonde were technically mates by Katsuki's definition and he had seen him naked as the day he was born. It was still a little embarrassing.

He looked passed that in favor of splashing the water to try and wake the blonde up. He hope the vibrations of the sudden moving water would alert him and it did. Izuku saw a red eye open to look at him then the blonde smile making Izuku blush. Katsuki came above the water shaking some of it out of his hair so it wasn't dripping off him by the gallons. Izuku thought he looked way to hot.

"Morning Izuku." Katsuki said when he looked at the other now that his head was above water

"Good Morning Kacchan." Izuku smiled

Katsuki moved towards the edge to get closer to the shorter.
"You okay? How do you feel?" He asked

Izuku looked down at himself.
"Well um I still have legs." He said showing Katsuki

"Okay?" The blonde looked from his bare legs to the smaller's face

Izuku furrowed his brows.
"Kacchan, I don't think it worked." He stated

Katsuki rolled his eyes.
"Deku, you gotta get in the water." He told him

"I do?" Izuku asked

"Yeah, you do c'mon." Katsuki said tugging him towards the water

Izuku carefully got in. The water was still warm and cozy against his naked body as he stood in it with Katsuki who kissed his lips. Izuku blushed but didn't have time to reply anything when he felt something strange. It was a feeling of his bones moving not because he moved them. It hurt a little but it wasn't extremely painful so he just clenched his eyes shut as he and the blonde held hands. Before he knew it he opened his eyes when Katsuki suggested him to do so and saw he had a tail. It was like Katsuki's and just as beautiful. The dark teal scales were a perfect color for him. He couldn't believe it. He was a merman. Though Katsuki quickly had to hold him up since he no longer had feet and didn't exactly know how to use a tail like this.

"Oh my gosh!" Izuku squeaked

"It really work." He said in awe then looked at Katsuki

"Kacchan, I'm a merman!" The smaller smiled

"Can't believe it worked." Katsuki said just as amazed

"What why not?" Izuku frowned

Katsuki shrugged.
"Can't always trust sea witches."

"I guess that's true." Izuku nodded but smiled again

"Looks like it worked though." He giggled

"Yeah, but how are we gonna get back to the ocean if you don't have legs to go get someone?" Katsuki asked

Izuku furrowed his brows again thinking.
"Oh. I didn't think about that." He said

Then an idea popped into his head. He didn't change until he got in the water so maybe it's not permanent unless the water somehow triggered the change. He wasn't sure though so he carefully moved to the edge of the pool and got out. Katsuki looked at him confused until Izuku hunched over in pain as the tail changed back into legs. The blonde's eyes went wide.

"You can change forms back and forth." Katsuki asked confused

Izuku nodded.
"Yeah, my hypothesis was correct." He said amazed

"You thought this would happen?" Katsuki frowned at him

"I thought was possible and I was right for once." Izuku smiled at the other

"This is awesome." Katsuki said as he leaned up to kiss the shorter before he put his shorts on to leave and get assistance
