chapter 2 hang in there evans

lucius was sitting next to an unconscious lily not knowing quite what to do. sitting in that hospital room reminded him of when it was sage lying there lifeless and holding on by a thread. lucius felt terrible as he knew how much severus loved her and how devastated he would be if he lost her. lucius couldn't even begin to imagine living without sage, thinking about it began to make him tear up.

sage walked into the room where lily was resting she had left severus at home with the elves to get some rest. she had asked the elves to summon her straight away if he had awoken. as she walked in she saw Lucius zoned out with tears running down his face. at that moment she knew exactly what he was thinking so she rushed to him and hugged him tightly which seemed to snap him out of that moment. she just kept speaking to him till he seemed to calm down. "it's alright my love im here im safe im here, focus on my voice Lucius".

eventually, he was alright and tried to act all tough but sage saw through it and gave him a sweet smile "you act all tough, and yet your just a teddy bear on the inside"

Lucius couldn't help but smile at her, he loved how sweet and caring she was towards him, and that's why he wanted to marry her. 

sage had brought a bag of things for lily to make her more comfortable when she woke up. sage sent Lucius home to rest and keep an eye on Severus, sage decided to stay with lily and keep her company.

as she sat in a chair next to her bed a thought crossed her mind, what if lily could hear her. "hey lily it's uh sage, I don't know if you can hear me but I'm rooting for you, you've gotta wake up severus needs you, he loves you lily". 

sage decided that if lily could hear her that she would read to her. she took out a book and the cover read pride and prejudice, "this is one of my favorite books lily" she sighed and began to read.

as she sat and read there was little to no change to lilys condition, the only change was that the nurse told sage that she was in stable condition and that she now had a better chance of waking up. to say sage was glad would be the understatement of the year. it took her about 30 seconds to aparate back to the manor.

as she walked in through the door she saw a somewhat relieving sight she saw Lucius and severus sitting in front of the fire chatting away to each other, as they heard sage walk in their eyes locked on her almost instantly. the looks they gave showed they were wondering if she came bearing good or bad news. she sat down and began to speak "there has been little change but according to the nurse she is in stable condition and now has a better chance of waking up" 

severus looked so relieved and hugged sage tightly that hug did not last long tho as within seconds he had packed a bag and left for mundungos to sit by her side. sage was glad that he seemed happier. 

sage moved and sat closer to Lucius placing her head on his chest and listening closely to his heartbeat. the sound was somewhat soothing to her, it made her feel safe and calm. 

she truly was in love with him and would gladly spend the rest of her life with him. 

she truly loved Lucius Malfoy
