It had been about a month since Lily's accident and she was awake but couldn't remember being in love with severus. However, she remembered James potter and fell in love with him repeatedly. severus was coping quite well, he supported her and found he was happier alone

"Lucius love" sage called out " I'm popping into town for a few things do you need anything? ". Sage got no reply so she wandered about the house looking for him. She found herself in the garden. She walked through a group of trees that had grown into an arch shape. As she was walking she admired the trees above her, it felt as if she had been transported to a different world it was beautiful

as she walked further through the trees she eventually found Lucius sitting on a picnic blanket with two glasses of wine. "ah you found me" sage was confused" Lucius what's going on?"

Lucius gestured for her to sit down so she did.

"Sage I have loved you for as long as I can remember. We have been through some really rough shit and yet we are still in love with one another, I know if I already asked you to marry me but I feel that you deserve a proposal that matches you, a perfect one".

By this time he was on one knee and was holding a small green velvet box. Sage's eyes were full, of tears.

through the tears, she nodded and said yes again. as Lucius pulled her in she heard the sound of clapping from behind them. it was severus and all of Sage's friends some of which she hadn't seen in years.

that night they all danced and sang and funny enough sage even got Lucius's father to warm up to her. the two sat and sipped on fire whiskey. the man was impressed by how well the girl could handle her drink.

she was not going to attempt to drink her future father-in-law under a table so she just sat and chatted with him.  eventually, when the drinks kicked in a little more he ended up talking about the ring that sage now had on her finger.

"that ring was the one I used to marry my dear rose" he trailed off, sage chuckled "she was a very kind woman, sir, her hair is beautiful"

Lucius's father looked stunned, "you can see her?". sage went red in the face and began to explain what had happened all those years ago in the gardens .

the man was shocked but too drunk to really take in what she was saying.

the night went on and they danced and sang until they dropped. the night ended with sage snuggling up in bed with Lucius laying his head on her chest as she stroked his head until they both dozed off into a deep sleep

her day was truly remarkable.
