(Night)

(Privet Drive)

It's a peaceful and quiet night in Privet Drive. Only the sound of crickets as well as an owl can be heard. Only the lamp posts are lighting the night as well as a mist surrounding the area. Until an elderly man with a long white beard as well as his hair is strolling down the aisle passing what seemed to be a cat. The mysterious man pulls out what could be a lighter, but then miraculously extinguished the lights surrounding him. It would be as if he did not want to be seen. All the lights were put out leaving nothing but pure darkness in the pathway. The cat then meowed to attract his attention.

"I should have known that you would be here...Professor McGonagall." The man spoke.

The cat then walked towards him but in the shadows, the cat morphed into a human revealing an elderly woman with a witch's hat and wearing a green robe.

"Good evening, Professor Dumbledore." McGonagall greeted.

The elder man has been revealed to be none other than Albus Dumbledore, the greatest wizard. They resume walking down the pathway.

"Albus, is it true? The rumors." She asked.
"I'm afraid so, Professor. Both the good and the bad."
"And what about the boy?"
"Hagrid will bring him."

This put a worried look on McGonagall.

"Do you think it is wise to trust Hagrid with this?" she asked Dumbledore.
"Yes, Professor. I do trust Hagrid with my life. But what I do worried is our volunteer to take him in." Dumbledore answered.

Out of the darkness, they hear a whooshing noise and they see a tall, dark figured wearing a hooded cloak. Each stand in feared until the figure removed the hood revealing a woman with dark, long curly messy hair with blood red lipstick.

"Good evening, Bellatrix." Dumbledore greeted.
"Evening, Albus. Evening, Professor McGonagall." Bellatrix greeted in a kind tone.
"What is she doing here, Albus?" McGonagall asked
"I'm here to take care of the boy. I may not be his legal guardian, but his mother did asked me to spare him as well as take care of him. This is my way to keep that promised." the Dark witch explained.
"And are you certain you wish to do this?" the elder wizard asked in return

But before Bellatrix could answer this, a engine can be heard across the sky with a light guiding it to the ground. It landed in front of the three revealing to what looks like a giant bearded and hairy man in an overcoat and goggles. It is not other that Hagrid himself.

"Professor Dumbledore, sir. Professor McGonagall." Hagrid greeted as he gets off and was holding the child in his arms.
"Have you had any troubles, Hagrid?" Dumbledore asked the giant.
"Oh, no, sir. The little tyke fell asleep. Try not to wake him, sir." Hagrid said as he handed the boy to the elder wizard.

He then turned around to face Bellatrix.

"As I asked before, are your certain you wish to watch over this boy?" He asked her once more
"Yes, Albus. I will not forget the look on his mother's eyes." She answered.
"Now, I must inform you that the Ministry of Magic will evaluate you as the boy grows up in your custody. If they think during his time with you, they find unfitting, they will remove him from your custody. Do you understand?" Albus informed her.
"I do understand. But he will not be alone. He will have my nephew as a friend growing up." Bellatrix answered.

The headmaster nodded and handed her the baby in her arms. She looks down and started to feel teary eyed. To her, she was feeling what she never thought she would feel. Love for a child.

"He looks like his father." She said with a smile.

They heard the giant starting to cry.

"There, there, Hagrid. Think of it as not really goodbye after all." Dumbledore assured him

The giant nodded to the headmaster knowing that he is right.

"And if I may speak, Madame Lestrange..."McGonagall started to speak
"It's not Lestrange anymore. I went back to my maiden name, Black." Bellatrix corrected McGonagall
"Do forgive me, Madame Black, but I remember the kind of student you were back at the school. Why change now?" McGonagall asked
"As I have said before, Professor, it was the look on his mother's eyes that made me think about my past and given me a reason to change my future as well as seeking for redemption."
"And I think this will be good for them." Dumbledore interjected.
"Thank you, Albus. Now, I wish you 3 a goodnight." Bellatirx said and started to walk down the open pathway.

As she made to the end of Privet Drive, she looked down at the sleeping baby. Her whole life, she wanted to know how it felt to love a child and now here's her chance with this child.

"I promise you, as long as you are with me, I will protect you and be there for you. And you will love my nephew. I believe you two are going to be best friends and have each other's back. We will live among these Muggles and keep you away from the other world. I promise you this as I promise to be a good guardian. You will be safe with me...my little Harry Potter." she spoke to the young child and kept on walking while looking at his scar on his forehead.
