(Halloween night)
(The Great Hall)
The entire Great Hall was designed with floating jack-o-lanterns while the feast are decorated with Halloween themes. Everyone was having a good time until Harry notices that the spot next to him is empty.
"Where's Hermione?" He asked Neville
"She's still in the girls' bathroom. Parvati Patil said she's been there all afternoon crying." Neville informed his friend.
Harry knows why she is crying as he looks over where Weasley is sitting with his goons eating. There is a bit of rage inside him building up but he pushed them aside. Then all of a sudden, the doors open with Quirrell running in scared.
"TROLL! IN THE DUNGEON! TROLL IN THE DUNGEON!" He warned all.
They all looked at him.
"Thought you'd ought to know." He said whimpering and faints
The entire student body went into a panic frenzy.
"SILENCE!" Dumbledore hollowed out. "Everyone, please! Do not panic." He ordered and calmed down. "Now, prefects will lead their house back to their dormitories. And the teachers will follow me to the dungeon." He said.
All the students leave the Great Hall and towards their houses. The teachers get up and followed the headmaster, but Snape went through the door behind him,
Harry kept wondering how a troll get in, but then he realized that somone doesn't know about the troll.
"Hermione!" He gasped and rushed back in.
He sees the Slytherin house and rushed over and grabs Draco and Pansy.
"Harry, what are you doing?" Pansy asked her friend.
"Hermione is still in the bathroom. She doesn't know." He tells them.
The 3 young students rush to where the bathroom is and they see a giant shadowy figure slowly walking down their path.
"Wait. It's supposed to be in the dungeon." Draco reminded them
They hide to not be noticed and see where the troll is trotting to.
"It's going into the girls' bathroom." Harry said.
"We got to save Hermione." Pansy tells the boys
(The girls' bathroom)
Hermione exited one of the stalls and started walking out but sees two giant feet and looked up to see a troll is there. She went back into the closest stall before the troll uses its club to attack her.
The 3 students made it in to see its attacking Hermione.
"HERMIONE, MOVE!" Harry shouted.
She crawls but the troll attacks once again.
"HELP! HELP!" Hermione called out.
The 3 throw destroyed pieces of wood at the troll.
"Oy! Pea brain!" Draco called out and throws a piece of wood at it. It didn't react to the impact but drew its attention to the 3 students and off from Hermione. She made it out of the wreck and quickly hide under a sick. The troll sees her once again and stuck its club at the sink she is hiding under only breaking half of it.
"HELP!" Hermione pleaded.
Harry pulls out his wand and made a dash towards the troll, but the club grabbed him and he flew on top of its head. The troll notices it and tries to shake him off, but it ended up with Harry's wand going up in its nose
"EW!" Draco said
"That's gross." Pansy added.
The troll grabbed Harry by his leg and hovers him.
"Pansy, Draco! Do something!" Harry tells them as he dodges a swing of the club.
"Like what?" Pansy asked.
"Anything."
He dodges another swing. Draco had an idea.
"Wingardium Leviosa." Draco casted out and the club slips out of the troll's hand and levitates above the head. It looks up and Draco lets it go hitting the head hard, and knocking it out. Hermione comes out of her hiding place and walks over to the troll's motionless body.
"Is it...dead?" Hermione asked.
"No. Knocked out." Draco tells his Gryffindor friend.
"Thank you for saving me."
"It was Harry who wanted to come and save you." Pansy informed her.
She looked at her fellow Gryffindor and smiled.
"Thank you, Harry."
"You're welcome." Harry accepted her thanks.
He then pulls out his wand out of its nose and is not pleased that it is covered.
"Blech! Troll boogies." Harry groaned in disgust.
They start heading out but are stopped by McGonagall, Snape and Quirrell entering the bathroom. The Deputy Headmistress was startled at the sight.
"Oh, my goodness!" She gasped and see the students. "Explain yourself! All 3 of you!" She ordered.
"Professor McGonagall, they came to rescue me." Hermione stepped in.
The room went into silenced.
"Ms. Granger?" McGonagall said.
"You see, Professor. When Professor Dumbledore had us return to our dormitories, I just remembered that Hermione was not in the Great Hall when it happened." Harry explained.
"That's when Harry saw Slytherin walking by and grabbed me and Pansy. He needed our help to save her from the troll." Draco added.
"The troll has already started to attack her, but we made it in time before any damage was done." Pansy also added.
"If they haven't come and found, I'd probably be dead." Hermione finished up.
The three professors all look at each other and decided the correct action for this.
"Well, Ms. Granger. I must say, for standing up and actually being brave against this creature, I award you 5 points to Gryffindor." McGonagall said
"Thank you, Professor." Hermione thanked with a smile.
She then turn her attention to the 3 students.
"As for you 3, I must say I am very impressed as well as Professors Snape and Quirrell. Not many students can take on a fully grown Mountain Troll and live to tell the tale as well as risking your own lives for another. 15 points will be rewarded to each of you." McGonagall said to the heroic students.
"And now, might I suggest that we leave the room and escorts our students back to their dormitories?" Snape reminded the headmistress.
"Indeed, Severus. Let's now exit out of here. You 4 had a long night."
All exited out and they went their separate ways.
