Chapter Twenty-Five

(The Hospital Wing)

Hours in from the following day, Harry awakens in the Hospital Wing with a cast around his right hand and a cut on his cheek but he is clean from blood. He takes his glasses from his stand, puts them on and sees a variety of treats and get well cards. Harry is pleased that his fellow classmates were wishing her a speedy recovery. He hears footsteps and see his headmaster walking into the Wing.

"Good afternoon, Harry." Dumbledore greeting him.
"Good afternoon, Professor." Harry greeted back
"I see that you have seen these lovely gifts from your admirers."
"Admirers?"
"What has happened between you and Professor Quirrell became a secret. So, naturally, the entire school knows."

Harry knew that the entire school would find out one way or another.

"And I see that Mr. Malfoy had the decency to open your chocolate frogs." Dumbledore notices
"Draco? Is he all right? What about Hermione and Pansy?" Harry asked.
"Fine, fine. They're all fine. No need to worry." Dumbledore

Then it came into Harry's mind.

"What about the Stone?" Harry asked
"Do not worry, my boy. The Stone has been destroyed. My dear friend Nicholas and I had a long discussion and figured it would be best for the sake of the world." Dumbledore explained.
"But without the Stone, Nicholas Flammel will die, will he?"

Dumbledore sits at the edge of the bed.

"He has enough elixir to last him for a while. But, yes. He will die." Dumbledore said to the young.
"Sir. I do need to know. How is it that I got the stone in the first place?" Harry asked the headmaster.

Before he does so, both men hear footsteps

"Ah, Harry. I think she might be a better person to answer that for you."

He sees Bellatrix enters

"Aunt Bellatrix!" Harry exclaimed
"The reason you found the stone in the first place, my darling, is for those who seek for it but not misuse it." Bellatrix explained
"And I think that is one of my special qualities" Dumbledore added.

All 3 chuckled.

"So, with the stone gone, is it possible that Voldemort can't come back?" Harry asked
"Oh, my dear boy. I'm afraid there are other ways for him to return." Dumbledore answered.

Harry looks worried.

"Harry. Do you know why Professor Quirrell refused to touch you?" Bellatrix asked the boy.

Harry shook his head in response.

"It's because of your mother. When she sacrificed herself to protect you, she left a mark on you." Bellatrix tells her.

He goes to his forehead.

"Oh, no. This is not visible nor can it be seen. It lives within your skin." Dumbledore explained
"What is it?" the boy asked
"Love, Harry. Love." the headmaster simply answered.

He gets up and sees an open box.

"Ah. Bertie Botts' Every Flavor Beans. Madame Black, care for one?" He offers.
"Yes, thank you. I do remember enjoying these on the side." Bellatrix thanked and takes a beans

Each of the adults eats one of the beans

"Taffy. My favorite." Bellatrix said while tasting the flavor bean.
"Mmm. Alas...earwax." Dumbledore said about his
"Oh, Albus." Bellatrix chuckled

Harry chuckled as the headmaster leaving the boy with his guardian

"I'm betting you're mad at me for breaking the rules and almost got my friends and Draco killed down in the corridor." Harry spoke
"I was at first, but when Professor Dumbledore informed what has happened that you 4 worked together to get to the stone before Voldemort could, I'm extremely proud of you. And I know your parents will be very proud that you stopped him from returning. You're a hero today, Harry." Bellatrix explained.
"And I am proud that you are my guardian." He tells her.

She smiled and lean down to kiss him on the head.

"Now, get some rest, darling. I want you rested for the end of the year feast." Bellatrix tells him.
"Yes, Aunt Bellatrix." He replies

He rest his head back down and watches his guardian leave the Hospital Wing leaving him with his thoughts and rest.
