Chapter Sixteen

(The next day)

(The Great Hall)

Harry wasn't really feeling in the best of mood to eat since it's his first Quidditch game of the school year. Both Neville and Hermione notices it.

"Harry, you have to eat something. Maybe a little toast." Neville suggeted
"Neville's right. You're going to need your strength." Hermione agreed
"I'm just not hungry." Harry sighed
"You're going to be fine, Harry." Hermione assured.

Professor Snape walks up and stops to where Harry is sitting.

"Good luck today, Mr. Potter." Snape said to the boy.

The Gryffindors look up to their Potions professor.

"Well, after your encounter with a troll, I'm sure a game of Quidditch would be good for you. Even if it's against Slytherin." Snape said and proceeded to walk away

Harry notices that he is limping.

"Why is he limping?" Harry asked himself
"Limping?" Hermione said confused.
"Look at Snape right now. He's limping. Maybe he tried to get passed that dog on Halloween. But he got bitten on the leg."
"Why would anyone go near that dog?"
"The day I went to Gringotts with Draco and our aunt as well as Hagrid, he was there on a top secret Hogwarts business. And that's probably what Snape is after."

Hermione then put it all together.

"So, you are saying..." Hermione started
"That's what the dog is guarding. That's what Snape wants." Harry finished.

They hear a screech from an owl. They boy looked up and see Hedwig with a package. She drops it above Harry, and he catches it.

"It's a bit early for mail, isn't it?" Hermione suggested.
"You're right. But what is it?" Harry said.

They both open it together and it reveals a brand new broom.

"It's a broomstick." Harry gasped.
"No, Harry. That's not just any broomstick. That's a Nimbus 2000!" Neville exclaimed.
"But, who..." Harry started and looked to where Hedwig is and he was in shocked.

Bellatrix is in the Great Hall petting Hedwig and smiled at him. Harry smiled knowing that she is there to see his first game.

"Harry. Is that her?" Nevile asked
"Yes. That's my aunt." Harry replied with pride knowing that she would come.

(Quidditch Pitch)

The Gryffindor team march over to their entrance and waited. Wood notices that Harry is a little scared.

"Scared, Harry?" Wood asked the new member
"A little." Harry admitted.
"That's alright. I was scared as well in my first game."
"What happened, Wood?"
"I don't really remember. I took a beating from a Bludger in the head and I woke up in the Hospital Wing a week later."

The entrance opens up and all the team members mounted their brooms and took flight to see a pack arena cheering them on. Harry sees Hermione, Draco, Pansy, Hagrid and Bellatrix together on one side of the arena. That gave him more confidence and courage in him.

"Hello, welcome to Hogwarts 1st Quidditch match of the season. Today's game: Slytherin vs. Gryffindor!" The announcer, Lee Jordan said on a microphone

The 3 friends cheers for their respected houses. But Harry can see Draco and Pansy holding a Gryffindor flag to be supportive for him. He heard a "Go Harry" from Hermione. The 2 teams take their positions in the center of the field.

"Madame Hooch is walking on the field to begin the game!" Jordan announced.

The spectator looks up in the sky.
