"Donnie, is that you?" The hushed voice spoke, getting everyone's voices riled up. The room was no longer silent, everyone was hugging and crying on each other. Especially the parents, but they were confused nonetheless. Why did she respond to only this boy, why did she not even reply to her sister who has been really close to her since they were young? What happened when the ritual was initiated?
"Yes, it's me. Are you okay, do you need anything?" The girl nods slowly in reply, slowly sitting up with the help of her sister. That said sister gave death glares to the terrapin in purple, moving her hand over her throat as if she was cutting it. Donatello gulped in reply, dread slowly wringing on his skin. "Why is it so dark?" The girl asked, and everyone looked towards her. The mother's face dropped in fear as she realized what ritual it was. She stood up and left the room, the father following her to help. Reika knew that was a bad sign, her grip on her sister's shoulder tightens.
"Where am I?" Y/N asked again, wanting an answer, afraid that she's alone. The world is dark for her, she can barely see anything. The only things guiding her is that voice, and her sense of touch. Right now, she can feel the grip on her shoulder. It felt warm but harsh at the same time, and so she understood who was holding her. So she felt a little more comfort knowing she's not alone.
Being alone is not fun, neither is it enjoyable.
"You're back home, with your family." Donatello answered, trying to pick his words carefully. There is a raging sister on the loose. Y/N drops her head, she lifts her hand to try and reach for her sister, to which she earned her attention. Reika helped Y/N to her feet, leading her upstairs so that she can rest properly. Donatello was about to follow when he was stopped by his brothers.
'What do they want now?"
"Donnie, we have to talk." Raphael said sternly, everyone else beside him. They were all looking at him as if he had committed a crime, albeit he probably had committed multiple, but now it's kinda different. "We can't have you running off on your own, it is dangerous along with the fact that we already had an established plan." Donatello's eyes batted around everyone in the room, they were all looking at him. April as well was disappointed, because he got caught and they had to rush to save two damsels in distress. Most of them had their arms crossed against their chest, while Michelangelo was the only one with his hands down.
He could feel their disappointment, but he finds himself reasonable. He had to chase after her, what were they gonna do? They just sat there while he went after her. They were in the wrong, not him. He was doing the best option. That's what he thought to himself. His anger slowly rising at the fact that they didn't understand him, no matter how close he was to them. He doesn't see why you would want him to be closer to them. If anything, that's more distraction. And that he cannot have.
"Come on, we're going home. You're grounded." Donatello's eyes were as large as saucers, what did he say? Grounded? He can't be grounded, you need him! He has to stay with you so that nothing bad repeats itself. You need him, and......... He hates to admit it but he needs you as well. But more than anything, he needs to clear his mind. He has been unfocused and distracted as of late, and they can't have their genius go around recklessly.
Due to silence, Raph had picked Donatello up on his shoulders. Leonardo opened a portal back home, the smaller ones leaving first. But just before the rest were about to leave, the mother came rushing in, calling them out. "Wait, which one of you was close to her on the web?" Leonardo and Raphael looked at Donatello, who was still hunched over Raph's shoulders. The oldest placed his younger brother down, he was as stiff as a wooden stick.
"You can't leave, you have to stay. I need to make sure the bind is not broken, or else my daughter might suffer that fate forever." The worry is ever growing on the mother's eyes. The older ones look at each other, then at Donatello. He gladly accepted and stayed, moving upstairs to look for Y/N. The mother apologized for the inconvenience to the other brothers, but they shrugged it off as a necessity. They left to leave for home, but not without looking back towards the path Donnie left. They just hope he won't cling to you like you're uranium.
