Chapter 17Ryan POV
I can feel the warmth of the sun on my face. I slowly opened my eyes to a very adorable looking Megan sleeping next to me all curled up. The large windows on the ceiling easily allowing the light to pass through and hit her face highlighting the features of her face. Her dark brown hair becoming shades of brown under the light. Her fingers gently rubbing her eyes and slowly slipping them back under cheek along with a light smile grazing her lips under the warmth.
This is probably kinda creepy and I don't really have a good excuse for staring at her at 7 in the morning except for one : I actually might be falling for this girl. I don't know why. And I'm still trying to understand this. It doesn't make sense. But I have to rationalise on my feelings for Megan. But I can't show the real me. Sooner or later they all leave when they do find out how I really am or I'll just end up hurting them anyways. I pushed the voices out as I looked up at the sky. And recalled how we spent last night just talking. And I will hold onto what she said for a long time.
I knew a side to her that I never knew existed. I knew her what made her sad, what made her happy. What she appreciated, what were her dreams and what she feared. She hated seeing people getting bullied. She never liked the show-offs. She didn't like society in the way they objectified women. She didn't like how there were so many major problems in the world but most leaders choose to ignore and just find a way to make money.
She took pleasure in the simple things in life:
-The breeze right before rain and the smell of rain itself. How the clouds would each tell a story from above to those who were willing to see it
-The warmth of a good cup of coffee in her hands
-The sound of grounding coffee beans
-The sincerity in the laughers of babies
-The innocence of children
-The sight of winter
-The vibe of thanksgiving
-The decorations in christmas
-The unconditional love from her mother
-The care that she received from Lea on her bad days
-The sound of waves when it hits the shore
-The sight of mountains
-The sound of birds chirping
-The feeling of listening to a song with good memories
-The smell of an old bookstore
-The satisfaction of finishing a novel
-The way romantic poems made her feel all bubbly
-The hugs she used to get from her grand dad
-The way cheese cake melts in her mouth
-The extensive collection of polaroid photos she has of people that she cares about
- F.R.I.E.N.D.S (yes the TV Show)
Her dreams are huge. she mentioned it with hope in her eyes and spirit in her voice that all she wants to do is to save lives. She doesn't care what, but that's her goal. To make people realize that every life out there is precious. According to Megan, if your dreams do not scare you then they are not big enough.
" What's in the sky that got you smiling like a teenager on dope?" I looked towards the voiced that distracted me from my thoughts to find Lea standing at the door with two cups of coffee in her hands.
