Third Person POV

The journey had been long and when Adam and his students arrived in London, the first thing that happened was Kaitlin and Lewis had an argument. Lewis told Adam that he'd meet them all at the hotel and he didn't feel like going to the library.

Adam, of course, hadn't forced him, he would have if he knew that it wouldn't have effected Kaitlin.

"I let him go back to the hotel." Adam says into the phone. Liam was on the other end. "I didn't know what to—"

"You let him go back? This was your one opportunity." Liam resorts, surprised that his friend (who hardly ever made any mistakes in his jobs) had fucked this up so bad. "Why wouldn't you tell him he had to? That the trip was paid for and that he—" Liam continued.

"I don't know." Adam muttered, running his spare hand over his face. His students were waiting outside of the library whilst he said he was phoning the University to make sure they knew the students had arrived safe.

Liam sighed on the phone call. "I think you're a little distracted." He admitted, voice low, as if he knew he was walking into no man's land with this topic of conversation.

Adam scoffed.

"You screwed up because of your feelings for that girl." Liam stated and Adam felt his stomach twist. If Liam had noticed his soft touch for Kaitlin already then... "You're going to have to ring Brett and let him know that the mission is compromised." Liam stated.

Adam shook his head. "You want me to give Brett a statement?" He almost growled down the phone. "Here's my statement; I wasn't distracted and I haven't screwed up." His voice was hoarse.

Liam went silent.

"Did you get all of that?" Adam questioned, his tone giving no room for debate. Liam went silent again, understanding that Adam had never been like this with him before. "I've got to go." Adam ended the call and made his way back to the students.

"This place is beautiful." Kaitlin whispered, touching the books on the shelves as she walked down one of the isles.

Adam was walking behind her and Charles was behind him.

The three girls had gone off on their own and had told Adam that they'd meet them at the hotel tonight. "It's very romantic." Adam agreed, and it was true — this place was beautiful and a lot of articles had wrote that a lot of lovers came here.

It was a beautiful place to visit — to go to for a date, even.

Charles raised a brow behind the two. "I don't understand how a building full of books could be considered romantic or beautiful." He muttered, trying to read every title of every book he walked past.

Adam smiled.

Kaitlin giggled.

"It's beautiful because of all of the stories written here. All of the words that people have wrote and expected nobody to read... The stories that have been told are all inside of this great building. It's decor is magnificent." She started of sounding strong and confident but by the end of her sentence her voice was an amazed whisper.

Adam's smile faded at her words. Kaitlin was extremely understanding and mature for her age, as in she understood the beauty of art and of nature and creation.

"I think that Charles would rather read the words written from facts within these books. Is that true?" Adam looked over his shoulder.

Adam simply nodded. "Yes." Is all he said.
