I know that I haven't updated in a while, and I know you guys are going to HATE this chapter... But it isn't the end, I promise. Adam and Kaitlin have a warm future ahead of them, warm and slightly cold, but... After this chapter finishes, there will be a couple months time skip.
The beginning will start in Kaitlin's POV, but will change to third person throughout.

Jasmine was sitting at the edge of my bed, her coffee mug wrapped in her long fingers. Her eyes were glued to me, her mouth agape.
"You kissed him!?", she exclaimed.
I nodded my head and pulled my covers further up my body. We'd done more than just a little bit of kissing, how he touched me, and the words he spoke... It had been so intimate, and the best part about it was that he wasn't my teacher.
It wasn't illegal for us to act on what we both felt.
"But he isn't... he isn't who we think he is," I whisper, softly.
Her eyebrows scrunched. "Then who is he?", she rasps, clearly worried for me. I stare across at her, trying to figure out how to explain this to her. I wasn't so sure myself, to be honest. "You don't even know, do you? He could be some fucking serial killer for all we know," she lifts the coffee mug to her lips.
"He's not...", I swallow, and exhale a shaky breath. "He's a good man, that I am sure," I tell her, with complete belief and uncompromising faith.
Her head tilts to the side ever so slightly. "Then what are you waiting for...", the side of her lip quirks up into a slanted smile. "Go and get your man," she shoos me away with one hand, whilst the other lifts the mug to her mouth again.
I smile, thinking of Adam. I wanted him, fuck I wanted him. All of him.

Adam was standing outside of Kaitlin and Jasmine's flat. His hand had paused on the doorbell, and he couldn't get the confidence to press the small black button. He simply stared at it, his heart racing faster than it ever had before.
He'd had a lot of time to think on the drive here, and although he had been given the blessing of his boss, and everybody else in his life... Ultimately, this was his decision still.
Before he pressed the doorbell, the wooden door swung open before him, causing him to take a step back out of surprise. His eyes met those deep green ones, and he couldn't help but to smile down at her. Her strawberry-blonde hair was straight, which was unusual. She wore little makeup, and was wearing leggings and a hoodie, with some converse.
Casual, but effortlessly beautiful.
"Hi," she exhales.
"Hi," he says, at the exact same time.
"I wasn't expecting you," they both say in synchrony.
Kaitlin and Adam both chuckle at that, his head dips whilst she runs a hand through her hair. "I live here so you must've expected me a little bit," she teases, staring up into his dark eyes.
He smirks. "Of course, I just expected to ring the doorbell first," he nods to his right, to where the black button lay.
"It doesn't work," she informs him. "You'd have been waiting a really long time," she beams him an open, breath-taking smile.
His own smile faded at the sight of hers. "I just wanted too....", he trails off for a moment. "Do you want to walk with me?", he suggests, standing to the side so that she could exit her own home. Her eyes glance from his face to his attire then, noting the casualness. Black jeans, with a black tee, and black boots.
