Almost missed this Sunday update because I'm hungover from my birthday! I'm 21 guys! Whoop, whoop. Anyways, enjoy!  I know it's short, but i am SO hungover. The next one will be longer. I promise.

Tuesday Afternoon

"So, what genre are you guys thinking about?" Adam asked the group of students before him. Lewis, Charles and Kaitlin. Kaitlin and Lewis were sat beside each other and Charles sat a few seats away from Kaitlin, furthest from Lewis.

Kaitlin looked at Lewis. Charles kept his eyes on his book, that was sitting on the desk in front of him. "History." Charles states.

"No." Lewis rolls his eyes.

Charles glances up for a short second. Kaitlin nudges Lewis. Adam crosses his arms, standing before his students, waiting for them to decide.

"No one likes history." Lewis tries to be nicer. "Nice suggestion though, freak." Lewis mutters and Kaitlin's eyes widen, finding Adam, who was already staring down at Lewis.

He unfolds his arms and tucks his hands into his pants pockets. "Hey, Lewis." He smiles down at the boy. Lewis looks up at his professor, face as unreadable as the look in his teachers' eyes. "Shut up." His smile drops. Lewis narrows his brows, surprised and shocked that his professor would say that to him. "If you don't have any suggestions yourself, then keep your mouth shut." And with that he glances at Kaitlin. "Any suggestions?" He asks, his voice slightly softer now.

Kaitlin was smirking slightly, trying her hardest to contain it.

Charles didn't react to any of it.

Lewis was still staring up at his professor in disbelief.

"You can't talk to-" Lewis started before Kaitlin had the chance to answer the question.

Adam tilted his head back, sighing slightly. "Lewis, I don't care." His voice was hoarse and low. The professor looked down at the boy. "You hardly show up to my lectures, if you want my respect, you have to earn it." He shrugs. "This is university not nursery, alright?" He raises a brow.

Kaitlin looked down at her lap, her lips pressed together now to restrain her smile.

Charles finally looked up, and rested his gaze on Lewis, who was glancing between Kaitlin and Charles. No one said anything for a few moments. "Now that that's sorted... genres?" Adam tried again, eyes finding each one of his students.

After the group decided on a genre, which was a paranormal romance, which was a very specific genre. However, Kaitlin wanted romance and the two boys decided that they enjoyed ghosts and the paranormal, so this option fitted.

"So, this week I need you to all go and read some books from this genre. I need you to choose a favorite and bring that with you to next weeks section, which will be where the real work starts for this presentation. Alright?" Adam asked.

"Yes, sir." Kaitlin nodded.

Lewis was on his phone now, and Charles was reading up on the genre on his laptop.

Adam met his female students gaze then, for the first time all session. The whole world seemed to pause for a short moment, for the both of them, Kaitlin smiled ever so slightly up at him. Her green eyes seemed brighter in this room. His seemed darker, and she enjoyed the look on his face when her smile dropped.

The look on his face was one of fear; fear of what he was feeling, feeling for her. His student.

They couldn't feel this attraction. They couldn't feel this tension. This want and this need. They did, though. They did, and they both knew it was mutual. The longing looks and the small comments when no one was paying attention.
