TALL OAKS UNIVERSITY is an unusually quiet place. Lush with a green football field, large campus and many accommodations, it's so...silent. Too silent. Where people and students should be bush with their day, the place had appeared barren and cold. The sound of the car engine rumbling and her breathing were the loudest in the room.

Wind blew, slightly cold. It gave her a chill.

The mobile radio she had ringed, which made Seraphina flinch before she picked up. Definitely had to change the ringtone later, something that wouldn't give away so obviously.

"Hey, he—llo?" The voice tone sounded robotic and cracked due to poor connection. Due to the higher pitch, she figured it was one of Chris's lackeys. "Hey, Min, get out—there, the infection...spread!"

Cut. The voice was gone.

Infection? Seraphina wasn't a person unfamiliar with these terms, but it clearly was a warning for the area. She bit her lip, hazy memories flickering from the time Raccoon City went down. Trauma always came back to bite her in the worst time.

I want to run away...

She still had a job to fulfill. Find out how Ada is connected to this infection that seemed to reach the states and how was this woman connected to the death of many men in the BSAA. Seeing how empty the campus was, the risk was low, for now.

I am not a coward. I mustn't run away.

I promised Chris.

If there were any students inside, it meant that they would need her help. Anything is better than nothing. Seraphina remembered how terrified she was to be living in Raccoon City alone as a nineteen year old girl. The darkness, the fear and the dread. Until she had met Leon...

Her little radio pinged, showing up as little circles on a large map of the campus. She gasped, as this was signs of life. The radio was smart in detecting heat waves, although not always accurate in detecting humans (animals also counted), but it could mean something significant.

Opening the campus door, the first thing she smelled from the air was the stench of blood. Following the coppery and strong scent, Seraphina heard the sound of running and footsteps. Maybe those were student survivors! That was the most important part of this whole mission, to save innocent people and not lose any more lives.

A loud thud. Then silence.

Someone gasped, then a gun clicked.

"You're not a student," She spoke out of the blue, her voice deep yet feminine and sensed danger quick enough to get a reaction. "You have a weapon. Who are you?"

Seraphina put her hands up, hearing the mature, deep tone of this woman's voice. It was unwavering, clearly not making an empty threat. The way she held the gun with her fingers wrapped carefully, it said that she had been trained to be on the defensive.
