Legend of the Boneknapper: shipwreck and slightly plausible stories

"Come on, put your backs into it you lazy dogs!" Gobber commanded. "Stroke! Stroke!" it was morning, long after the debacle that happened last night with Gobbers roof catching fire, as this moment the teens were all stationed at Oars on the sides of the ship, rowing.

Their arms were tired and the sound of Gobbers voice was not helping, Ullr was shaking his head at what they were all doing, "how fun is this? Right? We got the team back together, another adventure. This is pretty cool huh?" Hiccup tried to start as Snotlout, and Ullr glared at him "don't even fucking start hiccup" Snotlout laned forward "Yeah, nothing cooler like rowing till your hands bleed" Snotlout remarked sarcastically, nodding at Ullr.

"I just want you kids to know that it touches my heart, you helping me slay the Boneknapper"

Gobber patted his chest with his hook, showing everyone a solemn look, "True Vikings you are" he wiped a fake tear from his eyes.

Ruffnut groaned looking at him exhaustedly "Gobber are we there yet?" Fishlegs looked over at her with a frightful and exhausted look. "Oh you'll know where close when you're ears explode from the piercing screams"

He pointed at everyone, catching all of their attention "legend says this Dragons roar is so fierce, that it could melt the flesh right off your bones" Ullr locked eyes with Assur who had a 'is he serious?' look on his face pointing at Fishlegs, Ullr shrugged his shoulders rolling his eyes.

Fishlegs was confused when Gobber quickly interrupted him "Not so Fishlegs" "huh" everyone's attention the turned to Gobber who pointed a hook at them all "The Boneknapper has no roar at all, that's why he's so terrifying" he then gave the teenagers a serious look, leaning forward to further embed his claim "He's a silent killer"

That's when Ruffnut asked the question that was on most of their minds "wait, so if we don't hear anything then were dead?" she called looking at Fishlegs, everyone stopped rowing quickly, the Oar handles laying in their lap, it was dead quiet, the only sound was style water hitting the boat. And even that was still hard to hear, it was also cloudy and grey all around them too which didn't help.

They all sat still in the silence looking around at the cloudy sky "I don't hear anything" Tuffnut said leaning forward in the gap between everyone. A second of silence went by before they all jumped when Phil bleated.

Gobber laughed, congratulating the sheep "Good one Phil" he wiped a tear of joy from his eye before leaning towards the sitting teens, "say, Did I ever tell you how I first met the dreaded Boneknapper?" since no one said anything he carried on.

"I was a young lad, about your age on summer vacation with my family." Gobber sat down continuing, "when I heard the call of nature" Ullr and Assur took a glance at each other with an awkward look on their faces as Gobber looked the sky reminiscing.

"So I went to relive that call, but I saw something I would never forget to till the day I die, I saw army of Vikings frozen in battle... Clutched in the fingers of one Viking was a small treasure chest, I had to have it"

Gobber gestured to the teens as they all relaxed themselves from rowing for hours, humouring Gobber by listening to his story, taking the chance to have a break.

"I broke the ice open with my axe and reached in and pulled the chest, I opened it and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever saw."

He swung his hook for dramatic effect making astrid lean back to not get hit by it.

"But the frozen Viking was still alive, he started punching me in the face, and there it was, I never even heard it coming, The Boneknapper"

Gobber leaned forward like he was telling a scary story, the only ones who had an interest were Fishlegs and the twins, well the twins were only half paying attention because of the violence Gobber was describing "it crashed into the glacier, causing an avalanche of frozen Vikings!"
