Gift of the Nightfury: THE EGGS EXPLODE!!!!!

The fog was dense, Hiccup didn't know how many hours have passed since Meatlug had technically kidnapped him, it was difficult climbing on Meatlugs' back from hanging off her face, he leaned his head forward peering into the Misty abyss, gasping in fright as they narrowly missed crashing into a rock.

"Woah! Meatlug, where are you taking me?" he yelled again when they almost hit the bow of a broken ship, they climbed higher and higher until they were above the mist, Hiccup was in awe at the sight below him.

Hundreds of dragons, all on a crescent shaped island with a deep trench in the middle, Meatlug flew down close to one of the rocks before gentle landing on a cliff face , letting hiccup get down before flying away to another part of the island.

When Hiccup looked around, he stared in amazement, it was all of berks dragons, and every single one of them had, tiny baby dragons hopping around or either sleeping,

"You guys come here to have babies." He watched as a Deadly Nadder regurgitated its food like bird, hovering its open mouth over its babies, hiccup gazed around still in shock at the sight before him.

He looked down and saw a Gronkle pushing its eggs into a deep waterhole that looked to be the size of a well. He skidded down the steep edge of the rock wall overlooking the dragon, walking over to the waterhole watching as the dragon eggs exploded and baby Gronkles swim to the surface,

He smiled and moved out of the way as the baby Gronkle climbed out of the water shaking itself off before walking over to the Gronkle that tossed their eggs, "wow" he muttered in awe.

He glanced over to his left and saw an egg that wasn't tossed into the water, he stood up and walked over as it started cracking and glowing and orange colour "hey, look over here I think you missed one" he gestured with his hand to the egg, the Gronkle growled in fright, quickly bitting hiccups vest, pulling him away just in time on because the egg exploded the very second.

"Woah!" the Gronkle set hiccup down gentle, other dragons started peaking over to see what the commotion was, the Gronkle that hatched roared and growled shaking its head, waddling over to the Gronkle, stumbling every few steps.

"Man, it's a good thing those don't hatch on berk" he then developed an odd sinking feeling in his stomach, 'wait if Meatlug was kept on berk, no, Meatlugs a male... I think"

It was dusk on berk and the rest of the teens had placed the last of the eggs into peoples houses, with good intentions of course,

Astrid had placed her last egg into a Vikings boot, quickly shutting the door behind her as she went out, not noticing the egg cracking and sizzling the boot it was in.

Astrid had a pleased but giddy expression on her face, Ullr however had a sinking feeling course through him, he shivered looking out into the ocean, "you, ok?" Assur grabbed his shoulder, "yeah, normally get this type of feeling when Hiccup does something stupid"

Assur chuckled, "Tell me about it" they both turned to astrid as she started giggling like an excited five-year-old on Snoggletog day.

"wasn't this a great idea?!" she shook from excitement as Fishlegs jumped on the spot agreeing with her "Everyone is gonna be so surprised" the house astrid was just recently in exploded, a projectile shooting form the blast hitting Fishlegs in the face knocking him to the ground,

Snotlout leaned over him and laughed "SURPRISE!" he laughed they watched as the projectile fell on Fishlegs's stomach making him lurch in pain, they all cooed as a baby Gronkle sniffled Infront of them with sleepy eyes "Ohh! so cute" Ullr cooed before having a horrified look of realization come across his face "they explode" he called as astrid developed a horrified look, "the eggs explode?"

They all flinched standing straight, watching as houses all around start to explode, one by one, Vikings screamed running around frightened and confused,

"THE EGGS EXPLODE!!!!" Astrid yelled, running to one of the recently exploded houses, almost running into a Viking running from the burning home with the horns of their helmet on fire, she reached out her hand with wide eyes "I'm sorry!"

Several more houses exploded, Vikings with burning clothing running around in panic, she clutched her face in horror, watching as baby Gronkles exploded from the roofs of houses, it was like a set of dominoes, one exploded and then the next one and the next one, the one after that, even the baby Gronkles were watching the chaos unfold with mild curiosity,

One of the Gronkles however, in a burning blaze shot through the top of the wooden tree, lighting it on fire, the houses close by the soon exploded sending more blazing baby Gronkles through the wooden tree, igniting it fully,

"Awesome Ruffnut gazed around in pure bliss at the chaos with her twin brother, who looked more like a hyperactive pyromaniac. "Wow!"

Fishlegs stroked the head of the baby Gronkle, in shock at the explosions coming from the houses around them, Snotlout nodded his head, arms crossed with a smile on his face "This is your best idea yet" he leaned over to Astrid who still held the shell shock, a very worried expression plastered on her face.

She froze when Stoick walked ran next to the tree gasping, taking a couple steps backs watching as the monolith of fire eat through the decoration, he turned around facing Astrid frightened face, "what in Thor's name is going on?!"

Stoick roared, confused and very angry. "The Eggs Explode" as Astrid said teat dreadful sentence, it acted just like a detonator, the roof of the house behind them, around fifty meters away, exploded,

She flinched before giving the chief a nervous smile.

He then turned to Ullr, his face was somehow even more angry, Ullr put his hands up in defence "For the first time in my life, I had absolutely no involvement in the whole thing".

Stoicks eye twitched making Ullr shuffle on his feet, he then pointed to Fishlegs who froze holding the baby Gronkle

"Fishlegs kidnapped Meatlug and she had no other choice but to lay her eggs here" he flinched back in fright, clutching the baby Gronkle. "So why then in Thor's name did the eggs explode?!" Stoick yelled angrily, Ullr gave him and exasperated look, "How the fuck could I know that the eggs explode?!!!"

Stoic growled looking around, scanning the crowd, "where's your brother, Where's hiccup?!" Ullr shrugged his shoulders,

"I don't know, probably where the dragons go to lay their eggs?! Meatlug practically kidnapped him and flew off, he probably found where Fishlegs was hiding her since he was acting wired since we were at the great hall, I don't know!!! We found the eggs when we looked in the storeroom Fishlegs held Meatlug in, we found the eggs buried in hay, Ruffnut had to explain to Fishlegs that Meatlug was a girl, Astrid had the idea of cheering everyone up by putting Meatlugs eggs in people's homes, honestly it would've been a great idea, save for the fact that it was live dragon eggs, I told them that this is a bad idea and that they shouldn't be messing with the eggs, they didn't listen and put them in houses and Assur said "IT'S NOT LIKE THE EGGS ARE GOING TO EXPLODE?" and low and behold, he jinxed it, I didn't touch the eggs, I didn't put them in any of the houses, I never even considered giving them to people for Snoggletog, I had no idea that they were going to explode, and nobody here had the slightest idea what would happen when they hatch!!!"

Ullr yelled exasperated, it was entirely silent, the only thing you could hear were the small playful growls of the baby Gronkles and the roaring fires around the village and the tree.

"We should probably go put out the fires before everything burns to the ground" after he said that everyone started rushing around to get anything to put the fires out, the tree was a lost cause, so they didn't try to put it out.
