Chapter 8: My Saviour (Amiera Pov)

"Why don't we travel together to the next town?" I suggested.

"No I travel alone" he replies.

"But what if I get taken again or what if I get killed out here?" I said.

He looked away and growled, which confused me.

"Fine~" he says looking down at me.

I smiled and join him by his side as we began our walk to the next town, I picked up my coat only to get annoyed at the fact it was all torn up and dropped the coat. I watched as the man carelessly walks with his hands behind his head and his eye closed.

"So what is your name?" I asked.

"Ryker" he replies.

"I'm Princess Amiera" I said proudly.

"Cool" he plainly says.

Does he not care that I'm a Princess..?

I huffed and crossed my arms, I heard him stop which confused me and he suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me behind a tree. I opened my mouth to protest but he used his hand to cover it and my eyes widened at how close he was, I froze seeing his golden eye staring down at me. I was in such a daze that all I saw was his mouth moving but no words came out.

"AMIERA!" He shouted.

"Huh!?" I said snapping out of it.

"Did you even hear a word I said?" He asks pulling away.

"No sorry" I replied feeling guilty.

He sighs and walks off, while I stood there reliving the moment again.

"YOU COMING!" He shouts.

I flinched and ran over to Ryker who was standing there clearly annoyed about something.

"Why did you pull me behind the tree?" I asked.

"Just some men going past" he answers.

Really...

"Oh" I mumbled.

"Let's keep moving the sun will be going down soon" Ryker says.

"Yeah you're right" I said.

Timeskip...

I held my boots against my chest and shivered feeling the wind blow past me again, so I looked up and saw Ryker was way ahead of me.

"Ryker~" I whined feeling tired and sore.

He stops and turns his head to glance at me, I watched as he walks up to me and looks me up and down.

"I'm sore and tired and not to mention cold can we please take a break or something?" I asked.

He frowns but shortly after he sighs and takes his coat off and puts it around my shoulders, I held it close and immediately felt warmer.

"We are close to the village so we will keep moving" he says.

~ Ryker pov ~

"But my feet hurt and I'm tired... Ryker please can we take a break~?" She begged as I heard her pleading voice.

I felt something warm fill me up and immediately felt bad for the poor girl, so I walked over to her and bent down scooping her up bridle style which caused her to cling to me.

"Sleep, I'll get us to the village" I said holding her tightly.

"Thank you" she whispers resting her head against my shoulder.

I let my warmth radiate throughout my body to keep the girl from freezing to death.

Wow this girl's scent is so strong and intoxicating that it's driving me insane...

What is that... daisies... no... cherries... hm no... aha lavender... of course...

I felt the girl's lips and her soft breathing against my neck making a chill run down my spine and I just couldn't take anymore so I walk into the cluster of trees. I gently placed the girl against a broken log and shook my body to help the feeling go away, I sat on the ground and watched her chest rise up and down. I blushed just thinking about it and looked away from her and listened to her soft breathing and heart beat.
