Chapter 7: Ambushed (Amiera Pov)

The sun came up as Jack and I walked through the grassy field and admired the beautiful view, I watched the sun rise in the distance and the night sky changed to a light blue. I smiled soaking in the sun's heat and decided to stop here, I hopped off Jack and held the reins so he didn't run off. I grabbed a container that had some stolen food in it and some carrots for Jack, I opened the container and picked up a carrot. I stretched my hand out towards his mouth and he happily took the carrot and start eating it, I grabbed a white chocolate chip cookie and put it in my mouth. I hummed in satisfaction and closed my eyes, but I was interrupted by Jack pulling on the reins.

"Hey hey you're okay Jack" I said in attempt to calm him down.

He kept pulling on the reins and it finally snapped which sent him running back in the direction we came.

"COME BACK JACK!" I shouted.

But he was gone and I was without a horse. Now what..? As I was determining my next move three men came towards me on their horses. I gulped and stood tall while avoiding their eyes, I looked up alittle and saw that they were standing infront of me.

"Hey pretty lady whatcha doing out here all alone?" A man asks.

"I was on my way to the next village when my horse got spooked and ran off" I replied trying to be brave.

"Why dont you join us then?" The man suggests.

"No thank you" I replied politely.

"It'll be fun~" the other guy says creepily.

"I'm good thank you" I said backing away as they hopped off their horses.

They started walking towards me with a dark look and reach their hands out in my direction, I tripped up over my own two feet and fell back on the ground which gave them the opportunity to grab me.

"Oi let me go!" I shouted trying to wriggle out of their grasp.

"Would you hold still please" the man says pulling my coat off.

I shivered at the sudden cool air hitting my skin and felt exposed. Then the men began touching me and tried to put their hands up under my dress.

"HELP ME SOMEONE!" I shouted wriggling around.

"No one will save you out here girly~" the man says.

"Are you sure about that?" A deep voice asks from behind us.

We all turned around but stopped when we saw a tall man with black hair and an eye patch standing there.

"Let the little lady go" he says holding up a sword.

~ Ryker pov ~

I was peacefully riding through the grassy field with my horse which was totally unnecessary for me because I could just use my powers. I sighed and took in some of the fresh air, but my peacefulness was interrupted by a scream of help.

"HELP ME SOMEONE!" I heard a feminine voice shout.

I turned my horse to the left and kicked him into a gallop, I stopped and climbed off my horse seeing a damsel in distress.

"No one will save you out here girly~" the man says.

"Are you sure about that?" I asked standing behind them.

They all turned around in shock and the girl looked really scared.

"Let the little lady go" I said holding my sword up.

"We dont take orders from you" the man says.

"Suit yourself then" I said shrugging my shoulders.

I charged at them with my sword and cut down the men with ease as the girl fell back, I sheathed my sword and held my hand out to the girl.

"You okay miss?" I asked.

She looks up at me and takes my hand, I pull her up onto her feet and took a step back.

"Thank you" she quietly says.

"It's alright" I said.

She brushes her dress off and sighs, I look at her confused at the sigh and that look on her face.

"Is something wrong?" I ask.

"Yes I lost my horse and I was almost taken by those men" she replies.

"Oh you can take my horse-" I said turning around.

I groaned seeing my horse running away in the distance and the girl giggled.

"I guess we're both in the same position now" she says.

"Yeah" I said sighing.

"I got an idea" she says.

"What is it?" I asked.
