Austin had to be in LA for a meeting yesterday, and was flying back home today. I was cleaning up the apartment and getting everything ready for him to come home to a clean space.

I finished mopping the floor, and lit a candle on the stove. The apartment smelled of fresh linens and cleaner, which was the epitome of the perfect smell for me.

I went to the bedroom to freshen up. I took a quick shower, and dried my hair. I then went on to do my skincare and watch some tv until he got here.

i was hoping you'd say that

I went to the bathroom to go pee and noticed the birth control pack on my counter. My heart sank. "Fuck." I whispered. I dialed Sarah's number and summoned her to my apartment.

She busted in, holding a bottle of alcohol and some tissues. "Okay bitch. We're either gonna be celebrating or we're gonna be crying. So I came prepared for both." She said. I always had a stash of pregnant tests under the counter, because you never know. And Dacre was always constantly stressed I was pregnant.

I took the test out of the wrapper and peed on it, then placed it on the counter. Sarah was standing in the door way and I was shaking so bad I didn't think I could stand up. When I finally gained my balance, I stood up and washed my hands. Sarah set a timer for 3 minutes.

I paced around the apartment. We had just had a conversation about baby fever like a week ago, and I was throwing up at fashion week, and i've been so exhausted for no reason. So the odds aren't stacked in my favor right now.

The timer went off a few minutes later, and I couldn't stand up off the side of the bed to check it. I closed my eyes and fell over on the bed. "Just check it. Read me my fate." I said. "Bestie..." Sarah said. I shot up off the bed, the tone in her voice wasn't good.

"Take a fucking shot because there's no babies happening here." She said. "No way!" I said. I ran over to the test looking at the one pink line. A sigh of relief washed over my body. "Okay so why am I late though?" I asked. "Maybe because you've been so busy and stressed. Stress and exhaustion can really effect those things." She said. "You're right. Oh my god i'm so happy right now. I could cry." I said. I wrapped the test up and put it in the trash. I didn't really want to have to explain the reasoning behind that to Austin later.

We walked to the kitchen and immediately turned on my 21st birthday playlist that we blasted 7 years ago today, weirdly enough on these same circumstances. Sarah poured us shots and we slammed them back. Both of us half way gagging as the liquid burned our throats. "I gotta go take a shower. When's Austin gonna be here?" Sarah asked. Right as she said that the door opened and in walked Austin. He smiled at me, "Hey baby." He said. He came over and picked up, placing a kiss on my lips. "Hey." I said to him smiling. "I'm gonna go! I'll see you guys later." She said. "I heard the music halfway down the hall and figured she was here." He said. "If there's loud music, then yeah Sarah's around." I said. "I figured that out the first day I met her." He said. I laughed. "How was your trip?" I asked. "Good! Fast, but i'm glad to be back." He said. "That's good. Im glad you're back too." I said.
