Hallie Owens
After our reunion last night, I stayed at Austin's. I didn't want to leave him side once I got there. We slept in this morning, and when we finally woke up it was noon and I was starving. "I'm starving!" I shouted into the pillow as Austin groaned next to me. "Me too. Let's go get something." He said. "You must've forgotten I got rained on last night and showed up here looking like a wet dog. I can't be seen in public like this." I said. "Then we can go back to your apartment and let you freshen up, but you better make it snappy." He said. "Okay bossy. Maybe I should've have come back here last night." I said. "Too soon." He said, glaring at me over his shoulder.
"I know you kept me a toothbrush here. So where is it?" I asked. "Top right drawer." He said. I opened the door and saw a toothbrush sitting in there. Perfect. I grabbed it and started brushing my teeth. Austin stood next to me doing the same. Us making eye contact at each other in the mirror. "Why do you always do that?" I asked laughing once I rinsed my mouth. He wiped his mouth on a towel and looked at me. "I don't know it's just funny. You always are so focused when you're brushing your teeth." He said. "It's the most important part of my morning." I debated. "I know!" He said back with the same energy.
When we finally were able to leave the apartment and head back to mine, Austin had apparently gotten a car here now because we drove there ourselves instead of getting a cab. "When did you get this?" I asked. "A few months ago. Got tired of getting cabs or having to have a driver all the time." He said. "I understand. Driving is a lot easier, and cheaper." I said. "You got that right." I said. We drove back to my apartment and he parked in a space in the parking deck. "Come on, i've changed it up a lot since you've seen it last." I said. I took his hand as we walked to the elevator and up to my floor.
I unlocked the door and walked in, throwing my hands in the air as I presented it to him. "Hallie, it's gorgeous." He said, looking around. "Thank you, thank you." I said bowing. "I mean it's seriously stunning." He said. "Thank you! I've gotten into going to estate sales and stuff instead of buying new things." I said. "It really stands out how much time you've put into it." He said. I smiled, "Thank you. Seriously." I said.
I went to the bedroom and freshened myself up, "Austin. Pick me out something to wear." I called from the bathroom. "Okay." He responded. I heard him get up from the bed and walk to the closet.
I walked out of the bathroom and saw what he had laid out on the bed. I nodded, "okay cute." I said. I took it and put it on. I did a little spin before looking at him, "Okay? what do we think?" I asked. "Perfect." He said with a smile.
He intertwined our fingers and we left to go get something to eat. When we got to the restaurant we quickly ordered and took our food to go. We took it to central park where we literally sat on a bench and ate it. Just because we could finally be out in public. "Shit. I have a photoshoot in an hour. Looks like you're coming with me." He said, grabbing my hand and taking off running through the park. "Austin slow down!" I said. His long legs were no match for my legs, even though I was considered tall for a girl I still wasn't as tall as Austin. He towered over me, even when I had heels on.
We made it back to the car and he started the engine and raced off through the city. "How did you manage to forget about this? I assume this is the only reason you're in town." I said. "Well it was, but you see, when I got in last night I had a surprise visitor from someone I haven't seen in a while and it might've distracted me just a little." He said. "Yeah Okay, I understand." I said smiling. When we got to the studio, we parked and walked in. We made it with some time to spare. "There's the man of the hour." Austin's new manager said. He was standing next to a man holding a camera. "We made it!" Austin said. "Where is my favorite person?" Baz asked walking around the corner. "No way?! Why are you here." Austin asked. "I'm always around." He said, embracing Austin in a hug. His eyes landed on me. "Stop. What are you doing here is the more important question?" He asked me. "We may have finally worked some things out." I said. "That's what i'm talking about. I knew you guys would make it back to each other." He said. I smiled. Yeah I think everybody knew that.
