"Only one more inch! Please Anita!" Dalia whined, as her sister sat on her bed holding both dresses.

"No, you are lucky I gave you that extra centimeter earlier."

"But please! I already have to wear this baby dress!"

"Because you are a baby."

"I am 19! I am much too old for baby clothes."

"You call this baby clothes? Then you may make your own." Anita said, tossing the dress at her as Dalia pulled it out and held it in front of her. Then gasped at the sight.

"Oh Anita! Es magnífica!" She smiled, now seeing the full dress and holding it against her body. Anita smirked, standing and watching as her sister spun around.

"Call that baby dress." Anita said, as Dalia rolled her eyes quickly removing her day dress and changing into the beautiful white lace. It dipped slightly in a v neck and fanned out at the waist matching Maria.

"I want something red." Maria muttered, as she looked in the mirror at herself. Anita sighed, removing her belt and placing it around Maria's waist. "You girls can make your own dresses next time."

"¡Gracias Anita!" They smiled, as she rolled her eyes but pulled both girls into a hug. "Now, both Pepe and Chino are here for their lovely ladies." Both girls muttered in annoyance as Anita put her hands on her hips giving them a motherly look.

"They are nice Puerto Rican boys, be good for them." Anita said, taking both their hands and guiding them out of the bedroom. As Dalia rolled her eyes fiddling with her long black hair.

Chino stared awkwardly at Maria as she took his offered arm reluctantly. While Pepe was whispering with Bernardo, who was trying to dismiss him. "Nardo..." Anita smirked, as the man turned and gasped at the sight of his wife.

"Anita..." He said breathlessly, as she grabbed his arm and winked at Pepe. Who turned and dropped his jaw at the sight of Dalia. "Well? Vamos." She said, grabbing his arm as Bernardo chuckled and started for the door.

The group of Sharks laughed as they walked down the dirtied school hallway while the ladies giggled among themselves about something. Dalia unlinked her arm with Pepe as fast as she could, walking ahead. The gym's doors were swung open by Bernardo and Anita to a surprising sight.

There in their gym, loudly cheering and dancing, was every single jet with a lady across from him. Bernardo and Pepe both grimaced, clenching their jaws. Dalia quickly felt her arm grabbed by Pepe in a possessive manner.

She groaned, but followed him as he and Chino led the young ladies to the bleachers and edge of where everyone danced. Something, or better someone, else caught her eye though.

There in the center of all the gringos, dancing with a blonde woman, swinging to the beat stood the annoying jet.

His messy hair was surprisingly tamed and fluffed up making him appear even taller. Along his cheek, was a small purple bruise. She smiled to herself remembering having given him that.

Though she lacked the knowledge of his name. His face was distinct in her mind.

"I am going to get some punch." Pepe said, she nodded, heaving a sigh of relief when he finally let her hand go. But even during this, her eyes remained glued to the jet. Unlike her, he moved like a professional as he danced.

Just another thing for him to lorde over her head, but it was interesting to watch. The way he and the blonde timed their movements perfectly. Until they were pushed aside by Bernardo and Anita.

Next to her, Maria groaned quietly. Finally ripping her attention away from the dancers and to her friend. Who stood miserably clutching Chino's hand at a distance while watching the dance floor in interest.
