"¡Dalia! ¿Qué haces aquí?"

Bernardo ran towards her and the Sharks and Jets stayed where they were. The Sharks all protected her like a little sister, not to mention Pepe who was still hopelessly in love. While the Jets had learned the hard way that if they even gave Riff the hint that they might hurt her, well it would hurt to say the least. Dalia pushed Bernardo away, considering she still had a bruise from his punch earlier.

But she ran to Riff and took him in a tight hug.

Surprising every Shark, and even Riff himself. After recovering from the shock, he hugged her back and held her close. Just holding her there, and for one moment the world disappeared. There were no gangs, no fights, no rivalry, no territory, nothing.

"Are you ok?" Dalia whispered, a little muffled since her face was still burrowed into his chest. "I'm alright...what are you doing here?" He whispered, having softened, even when they fought he couldn't be angry towards her. It was as though every time the little snarky Puerto Rican woman appeared, he just melted and stopped being the tough leader for a second.

"I love you... and I didn't want you to get hurt."

Dalia kept her tone quiet to assure no one else heard what she said, Riff chuckled, placing a quick kiss on the top of her head. "I love you too...I'll be alright." He whispered, pulling away and staring down at her, giving a reassuring nod. She bit her lip and was still reluctant but nodded slowly. Dalia removed the leather wristwatch off of her wrist and placed it onto his left wrist instead. "Doll, this is yours." She shook her head and placed a quick kiss on the watch.

"For luck."

Everyone in the storage room could almost hear Pepe's heart shatter when she did that. But the pair ignored the shocked Sharks, knowing that this would happen either way. Riff opened his mouth to argue, but nodded and tapped the glass cover of the watch giving her a small smile and chuckle. The pair ignored the shocked crowds, and Dalia cupped his face placing one long kiss on his lips. Riff smiled, holding her hips and kissing her back. She pulled away with a small smile, then turned around to leave.

But not before stopping where Bernardo stood.

"Please don't hurt him..." She said, giving him a sad smile and begging stare. Bernardo let out a loud laugh, and shook his head. "Why would I do that?" He stared down at her with an upset glare, incredibly angry about her and Riff. Dalia smirked at him, then stomped harshly onto his foot. Bernardo clutched his foot with a quick short shout of pain.

Dalia walked out of the storage area, but before exiting through the door. She paused and looked back at Riff one more time. Dalia sighed, staring at him for about 10 seconds while he stared at her.

She waved to him...he returned the wave.

Little did they know, that would be the last time the pair waved to each other.
