The day me and Mike have been waiting for is finally here, It's Halloween! I can remember every Halloween we have shared together so clear, Even the ones when we we're still friends with Lucas and Dustin. To be honest i kinda miss them, Yes they we're assholes to me but still, I miss every night where be would sit up and play Dungeons and dragons to 1 Am, our sleepovers, the birthday party's, The times we went to the arcade together, Just everything. but things have changed now, things don't last forever do they?

Me and Mike have planned to look at a bunch of Halloween movies, eat a bunch of snacks and go with Holly to trick or treat. It's only 4 Pm and I need to be at Mike's house around 5 pm so I still have one hour left to do nothing but be bored. I am home alone AGAIN. seriously, why is Jonathan always out with Nancy? I can understand why Mom is out working cause we are on low money right now, but It's still boring to be home alone. can't Jonathan just stop banging Nancy and come home, he has been away on a trip for like one month with Nancy and he didn't even tell me when he drove away He just left a note to me when I came home from school.

Anyways, I should really stop being frustrated over nothing. I don't know if I should come in a Halloween costume or not, maybe it's to childish? But what if Mike has a costume, he will be so disappointed. Maybe I could wear my orange Halloween sweater, the one with a small pumpkin in the corner from last year? I'm sure it will fit me since I have barley grown.

I open my wardrobe to find it, To be honest I have no idea where it is. maybe it's in a Halloween decoration box? After a while of throwing clothes all over my floor I finally found the sweatshirt and a black jeans that matches it really good, I pull off my green tattered hoodie. I Steal a glance at my mirror, my body is pale and scrawny. Bruises everywhere from my bullies and the healing scars.

I finally had enough of myself so I put on my sweatshirt and my black jeans, It actually looked pretty good. I put on my black converse that I've draw pumpkins and Halloween stuff on. Then i grab my jacket from the hook and my black umbrella and walk outside, locking the door behind me. It was raining really bad I don't mind it tho because i love the rain, above all the sound of the rain. It just makes me so calm and relaxed, some of the trees has still orange and red leaves on it but most of it are on the ground witch makes it looks like you are walking on a red and orange leaves carpet, It's so beautiful. Sometimes it feels like I'm walking in a book, everything is just wonderful, besides my bad mental health and stuff.. That thought always makes me a little depressed to be honest.

After about ten minutes later I'm at the wheeler's house, I give it two softly knocks before the door opens. " WILL" a little girl with two blonde ponytails, blue eyes and a excited smile on her lips stands in the doorway" Hey holly, can I come in?" she steps aside from the door and let's me in, that house is always warm and comforting. " Where is Mike? " I ask, I can see Holly giggling with some silly smile. " BOO"

" AHH " I turn around seeing Mike standing there almost dying of laughter " Not funny" I say, with a big smile plastered on my face. " so, no costume Byers? " He says after he finally has stopped laughing " uhm, I- I didn't know if you we're on a costume or not so I just picked some Halloween sweater sorry.." I look down at the floor, maybe I should have took some random costume from the Halloween box?

" No problem I don't have one either you know? Come on let's go check the Halloween box" He grabs my wrist and starts pulling my downstairs to the basement., leaving Holly alone upstairs.

When we get down I see a huge brown box open the floor full of Halloween decorations, candy and clothes. He let go of my wrist and start to rummage around.

After a while he pulls up some kind of pink princess dress with puffy sleeves and holds it in front of his chest " I think this would fit you pretty good, don't you think? "

"Never in my life Mike, I would rather wear that ugly vampire costume I wore when I we're like nine " I say and fake gag. " What? I think that costume was really well made and handsome on you " " yeah right" I say with a chuckle

I ended up with some headband with some pumpkins on it and Mike matched me with a white sweater, black jeans and some headband with ghost on it instead of pumpkins, I think we look pretty good.

I pull out my camera Jonathan gave me after he bought a new camera and holds it up in front of me and Mike's faces " Smile" "What?" A second later I've snapped a photo of me and a confused Mike blinded by the sudden light from the camera.

"Hey i wasn't ready! " He whines and look down at the floor with his knees slight bent pretending to be sad " To bad it looks fun"

" Wow, Willyboy has gotten sassy"

" Did you just call me a dick-boy? "

Hours after going trick or treat with Holly we are finally home, Mrs.Wheeler put Holly to bed and me and Mike immediately dumped us on the sofa in the basement.

" Wanna watch a movie?" He suggest and puts his arm around me as I rest my head on his chest "Mhm" I reply sleepy, tho none of us moves. He starts to gently play with my hair and I can feel the chills running thru my body, I can feel how I am getting more tired by every second that passes, Mike's hand still in my hair, his chest slowly going up and down and his arm around me. I feel how the tiredness slowly takes over as I close my eyes and let the comforting dark take over me.
