Saying she smelt good was underrated. Isadora reeked of fresh daises blended with fresh roses. Elvis found it hard to restrain himself, whenever his lips unfolded to talk dirty words to distract himself his fangs grow in protest.
He could feel that his fangs were too heated. The woman before him had never been this desirable. She had never smelt this good and he wondered what her blood could taste like.
He stroked the thoughts off him but when his blazing eyes set on her blood, it took more than his self-control to stop it. He did not understand why he was feeling this way. He had starved himself for a whole year to fulfill a task given unto him, he did not understand how this woman from nowhere could just come to break his self-control easily.
He gritted his teeth as he saw that her eyes were now closed. Tears dropped and assorted themselves with her blood which was still pouring out of her new wound. Why wasn't her blood clotting? Human blood clots fast why was hers never stopping? He was anxious.
No, he could not be.
Was this a temptation?
"Who are you?" His voice sounded like it had passed through many satellites and restrictions before it boomed into her ears, her eyes fluttered open in response and she stared blankly at him. Those looks were decorated with hatred and fear. Why was she behaving like he had turned into a demon already?
Had he?
Scared of what she might have seen, his left hand went smoothly on his face and his eyes instinctively widened, his veins were popping out. It meant... he would go berserk if he doesn't feed on her. And this woman, he could never leave her behind. She was too wise to not plan an escape.
"Let go of me, you bastard!" He felt a soft hand around his left, where she had previously stabbed him. This woman still had the gut to punch him when he could just plunge into her and suck her dry?
Noticing that his other hand was off her and she was about to flee, he took his hand back to where it was, "Just once," he pleaded. He did not know when he even let those words out, why was he pleading with her? He could not be pleading to have sex with her or he could not be pleading he wanted to suck off her blood.
It just remained three days for him to go back to his usual ways of feeding on blood, he could not do that now. Even this woman before him would not be able to satisfy his hunger.
Vampires fed at least four times a month, but he had successfully spent a year without feeding, how would she cure his thirst? If he was to feed on her right now, he would drain her. Every ounce on her and now that she was almost naked, he could imagine how exciting it would be to drain her during sex.
No, he couldn't think like that.
This woman was like a prize to his lordship. His lordship needed her to do something and most especially to torture her until she feels a thousand of the pain she had caused him.
While he kept thinking, he did not know that the woman had already given up until he heard her say, "The pleasure is truly yours."
What pleasure?
Oh! He recalled whatever he previously said. What was happening to him?
He stared at her for a moment while her eyes bravely did the same but not for so long as he felt something heavy punch him in his chest.
It wasn't this woman. It was something else.
Why was he feeling pain all of a sudden in his chest?
He could feel that his heart was beginning to beat even faster.
His eyes widened when he understood what all these meant.
That was impossible!
He could not feel that way towards her.
She could not be his beloved.
He was not destined to have a beloved. This woman could not just be!
That was impossible!
Elvis was a turned vampire. He was turned while he was dying by his master. He learnt many things from him. Especially what it takes to be a vampire, well when he was a human, he was a vivacious killer. So when he was turned into a vampire, he felt no remorse that he had to depend on human blood to live and he loved draining them till they die which for him it meant he could live longer on bloodless days.
Though like he had learnt, vampires had hearts that beat less than humans, they also feel strong emotions, such as sadness and desire but falling in love was rare because their hearts tend to deny such feelings and interpret them to be lust. Vampires only had sex to satisfy the urge and to replicate so that they would not be overshadowed by their prey. They rarely fell in love. They never even did. But for the human-turned vampires, it was possible to fall in love but since they were partly vampires, they overcome the love feeling and termed it to be lust, because in the world today, having a weakness was just a direct means to failure and vampires were creatures with great pride.
The half vampires are only the ones entitled to have people they called 'beloved.' Beloved ones are considered as the only person they are entitled to have their offspring with. Vampires without their beloved ones could have sex with anyone.
So, as far as he had learnt, this feeling that was overcrowding him was something similar to it. Especially the punch in the heart's own. That was even the most significant feeling of all.
He did not want to have one. He was not ready to be a failure. No one was.
It meant failure. He would be unable to control himself any longer. He would automatically be unable to bear to see her in pain anymore. No!
Realising that the woman's eyes were still fixed on his, he came to his senses but now, he was filled with anger, "Who the hell are you?!"
"Who the hell are you too?! Let go of me, you bloody fool!" She screamed but before she could utter anything anymore, Elvis had already left her.
Isadora's eyes fluttered close and open again. She wanted to be sure that what she just saw and witnessed was a dream.
Could he have disappeared?
Could Elvis be a wizard too?
No!
She was just going crazy every single second!!!
