Bags were suddenly ripped off of the heads of the team, they opened their eyes and realised they were inside of a full white room, with their hands tied behind their back on their knees.
In front of them stood five men in black suits, black ties and black sunglasses.
"Why are we here!" Questioned Liam angrily.
"We've been tracking your movements since you were back in Connecticut. After you all claimed the reward money for slaughtering that monster, the police force in the town rang us to notify us of a weapon you all had in your belts, specifically a gun" said the man in the middle.
"We saw a man, who we now know to be called Egor, calling you all over to him, so we sent an agent to walk past him and plant a tiny listening device on his back. It would be then we learned about his boat trip, so we went to the docks that night before you all could reach it, found one that was being used the next morning under Egor's name, and we planted a tracking device on it."
"From there, we took a helicopter and flew above you all, following you to the docks of the Transylvania town, we also had colleagues driving on the roads tracking us to keep up. They're the ones that took you. We landed in a nearby field, deploying drones we had in the helicopter. We had them fly above your hotel all night until suddenly, we saw, "YOU!" Pointed the man at Liam. "Throwing a lit match into the house, before closing the door and walking away."
"Speaking of people who walked away, it was Egor first wasn't it? Before he collapsed and succumbed to his death, you all walked over to him and that might've saved your own lives, since the hotel suddenly blew up after that. You all set that place on fire, including the man who is now dead, and we now know why" said the man.
Kurt, who had begun to look down at the floor, looked up at the men.
"Why?" He asked, knowing the answer.
"The local fire department drove to the scene, and they put out the fire. The story is out there now, and as we flew away from the town, on the radio it was mentioned. A charred corpse was found inside, belonging to what seems like a vampire. A big bear that walked like a human, seemingly a monster. Now? A vampire? Tell me, why do you all keep attracting monsters?" Asked the man.
The five team members remained silent, taking their focus away from the men and just staring at the floor.
"Alright then. We'll see if you'll talk when we add another into the mix" said the man, before turning around and walking out through the door, the four other men following him as he closed it and locked it.
"Don't say anything" advised Diane to the others. "They most likely have listening devices everywhere."
Outside of the room, the five men had walked inside of a lab, where Egor was on a long table.
"So?" Asked one of the men.
"Confirmed, it matches previous vampire bites" said one of three scientists there.
"Will I begin the experiment?" Asked a second scientist.
"Yes, make sure it's done properly" said one of the five men.
The third scientist nodded to the men, while the second scientist began to speak "alright, let's begin."
For the next two hours, the team stayed kneeling in absolute silence in the room, knowing there was nothing they could do to escape, and any plan could possibly be heard by a listening device.
One of the scientists eventually left the lab, going out to a hallway, the five men sat down on chairs.
"It is done," the scientist said.
