No Man's Land

Rescued

The team approached what Romeo was pointing at, realising that they were bunker doors.

"I've never seen these before. Have you guys?" Asked Romeo.

"Not once in my life" replied Kurt.

"Liam, get the other door" said Diane, grabbing the left door.

Bruce grabbed the right door, both of them pulling the doors up and seeing a set of steps.

"Shall we?" Diane asked the rest of the team.

Kurt walked down the steps first, the rest of the team following him.

They walked down a small hallway, reaching a set of double doors.

Bruce was stunned they had managed to find this, but he had to keep his mouth shut.

Diane went in front of the rest of the team, pushing both of the doors open, walking through them, followed by her friends.

The team were taken aback by what was now in front of them, it looked like a laboratory.

Kurt, Romeo and Bruce took out their ray guns, wary of what this lab contained, while Diane still held the flamethrower.

"What is this place?" Shouted Romeo, startling a pair of scientists who were standing having a discussion with each other.

One of the scientists screamed in shock, while the other ran to a button on the wall, slamming his hand on it.

An alarm began to ring out across the lab, four security guards running out of a room with their pistols drawn.

Once the team saw them, they immediately fired at them, Diane moving to the back of the team and the only one not to shoot as the flames wouldn't have launched far enough.

Security was now no longer an issue, and the team walked down the hallway the guards had come from, seeing empty rooms on both sides, as Diane went in front of the rest of the team.

However, they eventually reached a door that was open, and Diane peeked inside of the room.

A man in a white lab coat was standing over a man sitting on a bed who looked disheveled, however after Diane got a better look at him, he looked familiar.

Diane walked inside of the room, grabbing the man by the back of his head and slamming his face as hard as she could into a wall, knocking him out.

The man's eyes grew, like he had been taken aback. "DIANE!"

The rest of the team walked inside of the room, also seeing the man.

Lying down on the bed, with his feet tied to the bottom of the bed and his hands tied to the top of the bed was Liam, with a big beard, however he did look healthy, just disheveled.

"Liam?" Said Romeo.

"I'm so glad to see you guys, they kidnapped me, they're twisted, I need you to help me get out of here now" said Liam, with a sense of urgency in his voice.

"Wait- who are you?" He said, finally looking at Bruce.

It finally clicked in the team's heads. If Liam had been kidnapped by whoever was running this lab, who had been with them all this time.

They stared at Bruce, who began to have a smile grow on his face.

It was now that he knew that the jig was up, and he turned to Diane, shapeshifting into her.

"You're not Liam are you?" Asked Kurt.

"I thought that would've been quite obvious" chuckled Bruce.

"You're a shapeshifter," said Romeo.

"Correct" replied Bruce.

"Who put you up to this? Why have you been pretending to be Liam?" Asked Diane.

"Who do you think would put me up to it? Come on, you know who it is already. The creed. That's who built this lab. That's who brought me back to life. That's who had Liam kidnapped" explained Bruce.

"What about you? Who are you?" Asked Kurt.

"I'm the king of Yeda. You remember me, I know you do" said Bruce.

Diane and Kurt were shocked that this was the man they had fought hard to bring down long ago, Romeo also remembering what Diane and Kurt told him about Yeda.

Romeo shot the ropes that had kept Liam tied up, the latter immediately getting off of his bed and punching Bruce in the face, sending him down to the ground.

The team stepped back, as Liam continued to punch Bruce repeatedly, who wasn't putting up a fight, and eventually got knocked out.

Liam got up, sitting on the bed but not down, taking a moment to catch his breath.

After that, he got up from the bed, reaching down and removing the arm covers from Bruce's arms, putting them on himself, before grabbing his ray gun.

He then looked down at the body of the man who had been talking to him, Thomas.

"Pick him up from the floor, would you Diane? He's coming with us" said Liam.

Diane did so, picking the man's legs up, ready to drag him away, right after she looked at Romeo, "take this" she said, handing him the flamethrower.

Suddenly down the hallway strolled a woman, who was also in a lab coat, curious to see why the alarm had been set off.

Immediately when Liam saw her, he walked out of the room, hitting her in the cheek with the back of his gun, before aiming it at her. "Do not say a word. You're going to follow me and do what I tell you to do. Understood?" He asked.

The woman nodded, not speaking unless she was asked to.

Liam then looked at the team, "shall we?" He asked them, Romeo walking out of the door, followed by Kurt and Diane.

Liam walked down the hallway, holding his ray gun, followed by the rest of the team and then the woman.

He turned left as soon as possible, pushing open the double doors and quickly walking over to the bottom of the set of steps, walking up them and spotting the teams car and bike, walking over to them.

Diane meanwhile, was still dragging Thomas's body up the steps, and finally got it out of the bunker, taking it over to the car and opening the back doors.

Liam pointed his gun at the woman, "get in" he said, pointing his gun at the back seats of the car.

Diane put Thomas in one seat, the woman sitting in the other, before she shut the back doors.

"I'll walk you can drive. I'll see you back at the hideout" said Liam to Diane.

"Are you sure?" Asked Diane.

"I am. I'll see you there" Liam said, beginning to walk to Hollyoaks.

Kurt and Romeo got on the bike, while Diane got in the car, and a few seconds later, they drove off.
